Angst, check. Acting,check. MU,check. - Page 2

Today was just sheer brilliance. I don't know how Gul did it but she has me hooked. What felt like a contrived plot is now beginning to unravel into a fantastic storyline!

The emotional angst today was played to perfection by Karan and Surbhi.

Asad's face when he realizes how the situation must look, his face blanching and she tells him she regrets loving him, his shock, disbelief and utter turmoil when his mother compared him to his father...OMG. No slap could have hurt worse than his Ammi's words today. Watching him stand there and take it while holding her dupatta.

Zoe's reaction was expected. Eventually she will calm down and piece things together but right now she is a woman shattered and she cannot be expected to think rationally.

Dare I say it - but I am glad that this happened. When they do get married now...and they will...the paternity secret will not blow their lives apart. They will be stronger than ever and he will definitely be the emotional wall she leans on as her world begins to spin.

Asad needed to realize how it felt to be completely and utterly alone and misunderstood because that is what he subjected Zoya too. Things are coming full circle, no Asad didn't deserve it the way it happened but he definitely needed to be in Zoe's shoes all the times he yelled and never gave her a chance to explain. This is the start to Asad's redemption and I am loving it!

Surbhi and KSG were mind blowing today. Their performance was absolutely palpable. People ask me why I watch QH, and it's because of these two excellent actors.

It's not about who's right or wrong here, both of them are suffering, they don't understand anything that's happening around them, their marriage didn't happen... the pain and turmoil.

On Asad's side his biggest nightmare, one he has been working since childhood to avoid, to not become his father, it all crumbled over night. The one person whom he never wanted to disappoint, his mother, just told him the one thing he never wanted to hear, that he was like his father. He probably hates himself more than Zoya or Dilshad ever could. (Slightly off context but dang KSG is a fine looking lad:P )

Then we have Zoya. First up Surbhi, darling, anyone who says Zoya can be played by any actor, Rubbish. She played Zoya to the T today. All her life she's only faced hardship, she felt she belonged nowhere. Then she met Asad and Dilshad and Najma. She finally accepted that she could be a part of a family. And that shattered. I think she will eventually listen to Asad. No woman is in the right state of mind when her wedding, her biggest day, is ruined. And Tanveer slowly poisoned Zoya. The little instances where Asad took Tanveer's side all added up and seeing them together today sealed it for Zoya.

Ah Ha! Angst. Sadistic is me. 😆

It was an excellent episode, the song selections were superb. Very apt and touching. Screen play was good, direction was good.

Overall pitch perfect.

PS- The female Mitwa was the only downside to today's episode. It's bad just like the female rabbave was. 🥱

Exactly. She is in shock and Asads previous actions all added up along with Tanveer poisoning her mind.

Nice post RC... I loved Karan, Surbhi and Shalini's acting... They were stupendous... Asad and Zoya does not deserve this... And I agree the female Mitwa version is just bad...

Agree. This episode has all that makes for a super QH episode. Karan and Surbhi bring Asad and Zoya to life. I felt the episode was too short :(
