Shooting at Ajmer Day 1*forum32* [Spoilers+Off Sc]

When a series is set up, usually all the outdoor segments are taken care of. The basic reason is of course, wherever the show is based, for e.g. in Qubool Hai' case, it is Bhopal, the pre-launch shoot gives that much room and time to go on a real location away from Mumbai and set up the show in the way it look real, beautiful and authentic. Whether it is taking stock shots or plates as we call it.

Qubool Hai has taken a detour from the norm. An outdoor shoot away from home ground where supplies, set and artists dates are easily adjusted. Even the costs are controlled as outdoor shooting come with its own set of "variables" which could mean hick-ups at the last moment. One of which is of course, crowd control.

Day 1 of outdoor shoot of Qubool Hai with cast Surbhi Jyoti who plays Zoya Farooqui and Karan Singh Grover who plays Asad Ahmed Khan, kicked off at 9:00am sharp. Yes, shoot times are tougher on location as thing have to done in "daylight" and the magic hours for a shoot are between 7 and 11 am, giving a little liberty here and there and in the evening 5 to 6:30pm when the Sun is not so harsh. However, tight schedule does not give the production to shoot only for few hours and the day is gruelling with schedules to be completed. Coming back to the shoot. The shoot was set in the Amer Fort in Jaipur with Zoya and Asad having emotional breakdown. Running around the massive fort, was a tough task for the crew and the artists.

To top it of course, the crowds were very happy to see Asad and Zoya and frenzy hit the place as people clamored for photographs, autographs and even a glimpse of the shoot.

We heard peculiar statements and here are a few for you all.

"Arrey woh actor kaun hai?"

"Kis ki shooting chal rahi hai?"

"Oh! Woh toh Karan hai, serial mein kitna achcha lagta hai, waise kaafi handsome hai. Uski wife woh hai na, Saraswatichandra ko Kumud hai (referring to Jennifer Winget)."

"Zoya tum kitni pyaar lagti ho, real mein bhi. Hamein photo nahi chahiye, bas aapko dekhna hai."

"Arrey us actor ka kya naam hai?" someone asked and was clicking away photos. So, we asked "Agar pata nahi hai kaun hai, toh photo kyon kheench rahe ho?" the reply was, "Woh toh leni padti hai na."

Yes, amusing, sweet and sometimes downright nosy but then both Karan and Surbhi were happy to smile with them and talk with them, even shake hands with a few. Surbhi even played with an eleven month baby in between shots.

The best thing that happened was that Arshad Khan, the director, included a few people in the shot to give passing and share screen space with the stars. Needless to say and yes we heard that as well, "Ab toh mujhe dekhna padega na, mein aaoonga serial mein."

Overall, heat added to the hectic day, but while returning, Surbhi said, "We had a good day."
