The throbbing nerve - Asad.
Two women. One is a diabolical enchantress. The other one is a warrior angel. Razia stands for all that is dark, evil and heathen. Zoe is all that is good, righteous and justful. A vamp and a heroine.
Both of them are setting up a chessboard to beat their enemies to save the ones they love. Razia is going a complete pragmatic Machiavellian way where Ayaan is being arm-twisted, blackmailed, manipulated and emotionally brainwashed so that he marries Humeira as soon as possible. Zoe is going the 'Transformer' way where she appears a sweet, loving friend to BCA but is now her vile enemy in disguise- to save Asad and her relationship with him. Razia is all set to make Ayaan bend and break by hook or crook. Zoe is treading softly but firmly on the warpath where Tanveer has to be dismissed and disposed from Asad's life. Similar guts on both the ends and similar brains at work where the preys ( Ayaan and Tanveer ) are beginning to feel the heat. Razia wants to destroy a life and Zoe wants to save her life and her little world.
Its so strange how two people can have the same aim but in diametrically different intention paths. Zoe is all set to finish that Salwaar Kameez and she has no hesitance and qualms about it.If it means being sneaky, mean and deceitful, so be it. Tanveer has done a double crime - she has betrayed the Khans and she has eyed Asad. And that dollops Zoe's hatred for Tanveer. Its not just about exposing that light-eyed beauty, its personal now. Today, the kind of looks and smirks that Zoe gives Tanveer speak both hatred and animosity - its more than visible when she hands her the naked side of the knife or watches her writhe in pain due to the orange burst. Zoe could have handed water to Tannu after she recovered from the initial shock - but she didn't. She just left. Maybe if Tannu hadn't tried to cross the line with Asad, Zoe wouldn't have been this spiteful.
Razia is BACK. That vixen brain, that familiar brand of emotional politics and psychological cleanse , the smirk, the coming and going of various emotions on her face and that signature am-the-queen look - all of that has returned to her persona and demenour.Today, when she literally psyches and harasses Ayaan without even raising her voice, you can see the unrest , the confused anxiety and disgust on Ayaan's face. Ayaan's one plight seems to stay permanent. Razia is still a tigress and he is still a deer, desperately trying to prove that he is free. Razia seems to know Ayaan like the back of her hand. She deliberately instigated Ayaan to go and see his mother getting insulted at Haseena's. Why? Because she knew that Ayaan will do something extremely stupid owing to his hot head. Is the precap what she was expecting or is it an un-deer Ayaan? Well, you gotta wait and watch.
So, while Zoe is going headlong into the game as the lead player, Razia is back to claiming her crown as the coach. Can they both manage what they want to do for Asad and Humeira respectively? Time will tell.
Asad was adorable today, BTW. No, not because he made a sulking puppy-face when Zoe didn't serve him aalu-ke-paraanthe- its because of the dress that he gave Zoe. To gift Zoe a dress that has no sleeves is quite a leap of change for him ( don't go into his armaanon ki almaari, wo ek alag topic hai). It was a gesture from him to tell Zoe that he realizes his mistake and he will not judge her again on her clothes - and here comes a dress that has no sleeves. And that is what the note said as well- I know its gonna take me a lifetime to change my caveman mind , but a man can always try. So, here's a dress that says more than what i can manage in 5 episodes put together. As usual, his expressions and actions say more than his wagging tongue which never wags when it should.
Zoe? She is CID and Mills&Boons rolled into one these days. One minute , she is all i-shall-find-Tannu-ka-raaz and the moment Asad is knocking at her door like a bechaara baby , she goes all moony-eyed and tongue-tied and blush-blush. Matlab kya, Asad ko dekhke dimaag ke bulb jaake tannu ke anarkali ki layers mein hide ho jaate hain? ... Just kidding. Its cute when they both are being awkward with each-other and yet cannot help looking like love sick puppies.
Anyway, Razia was a treat to watch today. I have always maintained that Alka Kaushal is the best artist on this show and it shows.
