The line between an actor and a character is really thin. Fan groups can seldom make out the difference because a) the actors are really convincing as the character, they almost live it b) as an audience group (I do not say individual here) the very initial reaction is emotional and c) as an audience group we adapt dramas as the best possible form of escapism.

The ability to keep reel and real separate is very tough, sometimes comes with age or one is just born with it or most of the time never comes. And the internet is just about the best place to be a lion (read bully in such cases) with the possibility of being held responsible very very remote. So fan groups will always exist, bias will always exist but good stories will also be told.

I am still batting for Asad because I believe that the production house has a story to tell in time. It is always going to be a balanced responsibility for me be it Asad or Zoya. Neither are consistently good or intelligent characters.

And such posts, one has to be careful with. Can go anyway. 😊

I stop my ranting here 😊. Hope I made even an iota of sense.

true everyone needs to differentiate between reel and real...

Asad is a character... and everyone has a right to support or bash the character thats the use of a forum...

KSG enacts Asad... he is not Asad...

Good Lord, thank you for this much needed post! I totally agree with you Tanvi, fanbots should learn to differentiate between the character and actor. I can't even BELIEVE some of the comments his fans leave - one wrote 'Asad aka KARAN is not wrong'.

Um, excuse me but W*F does Karan have to do with this? Why the same ghisa-pita KSG jhaap everywhere?!

People(read,'harmonal phangurls') have a very common habit of of mixing 'reel' and 'real'.😆So they don't understand who they are actually defending,'Asad' or 'Ksg'.😆

Tanvi, you know I had much more to say but I would get banned if I did... I am so pissed... The Whole Forum has turned into a KSG shrine hailing Lord Grover.. Everywhere I go, I find "KSG IS THE BEST,KSG IS AWESOME, NOBODY CAN BEAT KSG, KSG THIS, KSG THAT" .. I have to dig through an entire forum of KSG worshipping posts to come across a decent sane one...
