What is the point of storytelling if the character

I just don't understand what exactly is the point of all these months of this show if the prime characters; Asad and Zoya never change? It seems that the only character who is progressing with every track is Ayaan who is getting more mature.

Asad who seems to seriously suffer from partial memory loss doesn't leave one opportunity to misunderstand Zoya. I was just surprised that he didn't bring up her upbringing again this time. We were already shown the Asad knows about Zoya's fear of fire. Ok I get it, when a person is burning in front of you would expect for everyone to forget their fears and help the victim. I understand Asad reaction when Tannu was burning. But after that how can they show him going back to not listening to Zoya, not trying to understand her and etc. What is the point of every track every week and every misunderstanding if they are just going to show the Asad thing over and over again. Now tomorrow Asad will realize he was wrong and say sorry and then the same thing will happen again. Asad was meant to be a strong character, a leader, someone who is smart enough to recite which code under which law could save Ayaan from the bad cop. And yet here he is…just plain dumb.

And Zoya, I think this poor girl has become immune to Asad's cruel words by now. Every time we think ok, this will be the last straw, maybe Zoya will tell Asad to shut up this time, maybe she will walk out this time, maybe this time for once something different will happen. But now…He says sorry and we are back to square one. I'm not saying I don't want Asya together, but Asad needs to realize that his attitude will cost him Zoya.

I wanted so bad to enjoy the wedding sequence regardless if the wedding happened or not, I wanted Asya to realize their love and at least have some progress in the story. But it seems that not only will Asya get married, they won't even express their feelings to each other (which is this point should just be obvious to each other anyway). All we will get is more of the same. I know there has to be twists...but I'm tired of the same thing over and over again.

And Razia, do me a favor and kill Tannu please!!!!
