Part Two
Zoya every words echoed in Asad's mind. He regret saying those words. He kept on looking at the ring Zoya left on coffee table.
Tanveer saw Asad starring at the ring. She smile, but soon change her expression.
She touch Asad on his shoulder "Jammy" Asad look at her with moist eyes.
Asad: Tanu, please leave me alone.
Tanveer: But Jammy
Asad: Please
He left taking the ring. Najma saw the scene with her eyes. Her eyes burn with anger.
Najma couldn't keep silent anymore. She march into Tanveer's room and grab her suitcase. She start throwing Tanveer's belonging in the bag.
Tanveer came inside and saw Najma packing her things "Tamatar" Najma shouts "you don't have the rights to call me Tamatar... only Asad Bhaijaan aur Zoya Bhabhi" Tanveer's smile turn into frown hearing Zoya's name.
Tanveer: Najma, Zoya isn't your Bhabhi anymore. She herself broke the relation and left.
Najma: Shut up.
Tanveer eyes grow bigger. Najma never raise her voice and today she shouted at her.
Najma finish stuffing Tanveer's bag. She grip onto Tanveer's wrist and start pulling her down the stairs.
Tanveer shouting: Najma, what are you doing? Why are you dragging me?
Tanveer trying to withdraw her hand away "Jammy, look what Najma is doing" she shouted. Her voice didn't reach Asad's ear because Asad lost looking at Zoya's picture.
Dilshaad came rushing out of her room. She look at Najma pulling Tanveer "Najma, what are you doing? Beta"
Najma gave quick look at her Ammi "doing something that should have been done earlier" Tanveer finally free herself and ran toward Asad's room. She's about to knock, but Najma grab her hand again "Jammy please help me" she said again while Najma pulled her.
Asad finally heard something break. He open the door and saw his sister dragging Tanu. Tanu kept on saying "Jammy, please help me and why is Najma doing this to me" Asad close his eyes "Tamatar" his voice briefly halts Najma.
Sighing away, she again drag Tanveer out of the house "Tamatar, did you hear me. What are you doing and why are you dragging Tanu out of the house?" he again question his sister.
Najma dramatically throw Tanu near the door "Bhaijaan, I've always respected you, but today have disappointed me" Dilshaad stayed quiet studying the factors.
Asad got confuse. His sister never raised her voice at him or anyone and today she crossed every limits.
Asad: If you are mad at me than why are you throwing Tanu out. What has she done?
Najma: Its always Tanu...Tanu...Tanu! I am fed up hearing those words. It gives me headache.
Asad: Najma!
Tanveer looking at Asad with tears "Jammy, what have I done that Najma behaving rudely with me"
Asad: Najma, I am waiting for answer.
Najma close her eyes "I am sorry, Zoya Bhabhi but I have to break your promise. If I stayed quiet than I'll loose you forever. I can't say anything directly, but indirectly I can" Najma stood numbly recalling her conversation with Zoya.
"Please Tamatar... promise that you won't say anything to Phupi or Mr. Khan the actually reason why I am leaving" Zoya look at Najma with hope "I promise Bhabhi" crying Najma.
Both hug tightly.
Dilshaad tap Najma on her shoulder. Najma came out of her thoughts and again goes closer to Tanveer, but Asad step between them "I've already in grumpy mood. I don't want another scene in my house" Najma interrupt him "oh! I forgot this is your home" her voice choke "not mine. I've never carve for father's love because I had you Bhai, but today I feel lonely" Dilshaad interrupt "Najma, Asad didn't mean it"
Najma: Ammi, I know what Asad Ahmed Khan meant. I don't need any explanation.
Najma look at Tanveer with hatred "thanks for destroying my fantastic regarding my father cum brother. I hate you Tanveer for coming into our lives. I hate you" Najma drop Tanveer's suitcase and rush into her room.
Tanveer start her fake cries, but Asad and Dilshaad already left behind Najma.
Meanwhile at the airport. Zoya and Zeenat checked in. Just waiting for the announcements.
Zeenat notice sudden sadness in Zoya's face. She began to worry. Her worries are making doubts clear. She touch Zoya on her shoulder "you love him deeply, right" Zoya finally broke down hugging Aapi.
Zoya: Aapi I
Zeenat: Don't say anything. Zoya listen to me carefully (Zoya look at her) Zoya, life gives you many path, but its you who have to decide correct path. I've always scold you for listening to your heart, but today just once close your eyes and see what your heart wants. We only have few hours left before leaving India forever. Just once think and listen to your heart. Forget about the current problems and the reason why you left him. Just think about your desire and your heart will solve your miseries.
Inside Najma's room...
Dilshaad: Hey Allah; what are you doing beta?
Najma throwing her clothes in her suitcase. Asad taking out her clothes every time she puts them inside.
Dilshaad hold Najma by her shoulder "please Ammi. Don't say anything that will hurt both of us. Its a fact! Bhaijaan desire to keep Tanveer in this house over us"
Asad: Tamatar, I didn't mean that
Najma: Than, what do you mean? Bhaijaan, wasn't it you who always crib that guest should leave after few days when Zoya came to stay with us.
Dilshaad slowly understanding Najma and having feelings its related to Tanveer. She decide to stay quiet and listen to her daughter's point of view for change instead of Asad.
Asad nod his head in agreement.
Najma: Than what happen today when its related to Tanveer. Isn't she a guest too?
Asad: but she's my
Najma: Your friend and Zoya isn't mine. What happen to my brother who once had the authority to keep me silent?
Dilshaad eyes realize the changes took place in her kids lives. Her eyes got moist hearing her daughter questioning her son.
Najma: You don't have answers to my question. If Zoya was a guest that time than isn't Tanveer too. Why can't you once listen to others instead of Tanveer? She cries and you melt seeing her tears. Do you think her tears are true? For me its fake.
Asad: Najma
Najma: No Bhaijaan. I ain't done yet. You have to listen to me. You can't always shut me up. Why you dislike Zoya from the beginning cause she's different and Tanveer is cultured?
Asad: I agree.
Najma sigh: You agree, but let me give you reality check. Zoya is modern, but her hear is pure cultured unlike Tanveer. She shows to be culture by her clothing doesn't mean she is.
Tanveer heard everything. She had to interfere otherwise she'll loose her chance to gain Asad.
Najma saw Tanveer "oh! Let's guess! Ear dropping! To hear what I am saying to my brother. You are most welcome to hear uninvited" Asad about to say something, but Dilshaad grab his hand indicating not to interfere.
Tanveer: Najma, what have I done? Why are you making up lies against me?
She start her famous fake cry. Asad melted hearing Tanveer, but Najma roll her eyes "I ain't falling for those" and slam the door on her face.
Tanveer puffs in anger "how did this gal get courage to slam the door on my face" suddenly evil thought creep in her mind. She smiles leaving Khan mansion.
Zeenat saw Zoya had her eyes close. Her I pad screen saver is the images of her moments with Khan family and mostly Asad. She hope her Zoya make the right decision cause time slipping away.
Asad: Najma, you shouldn't have close the door on Tanu's face. She must have felt hurt.
Najma; Oh! You can sense Tanu's pain, but not Zoya. Why its always Tanu over me or Zoya?
Asad: Its nothing...
Najma: Please. Anyways what was I saying. You have problem regarding Zoya's carefree attitude and Tanveer culture acts. What do you know about Tanveer that you have so much faith in her? Ammi said you and Tanveer separated at tender age of childhood. Right
Asad nod his head.
Najma: How can you be sure that Tanveer is correct in her actions? You have problem with Zoya cause she's NRI (Non Resident of India) and how she grew up? But did you once think about the problem she faced growing up. We equally have rough past like Zoya than what's the difference that Tanveer effect our relation? Bhai once ask your heart being modern is mistake? I don't think so!
Dilshaad knew Asad needs a reality check and she herself can't show him the correct path everything he makes mistake. He should learn the hard way and her daughter is doing what she should have done few days ago with Tanveer.
Asad: Tamatar, I acept that I find difference between Zoya and Tanveer, but both have different place in my life. Try to understand!
Najma: Try to understand you! I can't understand you anymore cause every words spoken from your mouth have different meaning to them, have you tried to understand others. I don't think! If you have than you would have realize why Zoya left? Forget Zoya. Have you tried to understand my feelings? If you have than you won't have token away my only friend cum sister. She taught me many things that a father or brother can't teach me. She taught me (choking on her own words due emotions) how to respect others to gain respect.
Dilshaad hug Najma "Ammi, you know when Bhaijaan gone on business trips I fear to leave the house, but Zoya taught me not to fear because being independent courage you to be strong and face the world with confidence. I wish Allah does magic and Zoya return back to us when I wake up from bad dream, but this isn't a dream. Zoya gone forever and I can't stay here if Tanveer stays. Bhaijaan has to ask Tanveer to leave like he once did with Zoya. Tanveer is a lie.. who is playing with our emotions from beginning."
Dilshaad: What do you mean Tanveer is a lie and playing with our emotions? Stop talking in riddles..
Asad: Tamatar, what has Tanveer done to upset you? Please tell me. I promise to fix everything.
Najma: You haven't realize what Tanveer has done. Maybe these articles can help you.
Najma threw some news clipping on Asad's face. Asad kneel down looking at the clips. His eyes froze seeing Tanveer's true face. He lift up the articles reading the headings "Who is Billo Rani? Is she a name of fakes to culture? Is she stain in our society? Can a daughter of prostitute be a prostitute herself?" Asad couldn't read anymore dropping them on the floor. He broke down crying. His eyes haunting him with Zoya's painful eyes. Her each look accuse him of betrayal.
Dilshaad also read the articles "Najma, where did you find those clips?" Najma narrates her finding "Ammi just few days ago I was searching up some old articles of Bhai when I came across these. At first I was confuse, but slowly my doubts got cleared day by day after you announce Bhai's wedding to happen within ten day lekin you haven't reveal who is going to marry Bhaijaan at the moment. I had stayed quiet. I wanted to know the truth myself so I kept on keeping a eye on Tanveer and her actions. Slowly I came across her true face when she tried to kill Zoya. (Asad stood up with anger and Dilshaad cover her mouth in shock) Yes, Ammi. She tried killing Zoya several times after you chose Zoya for Bhaijaan. Every time Bhaijaan defeated Zoya's death, but how long Zoya going to be safe. If Tanveer can try killing her in our house than think about the chance Zoya have against Tanveer at the moment. Zoya herself doesn't know the facts about Tanveer only" Najma bit her lip.
Dilshaad: What Zoya knows? Najma
Najma: I can't say anything I've promise Zoya, but yet I've tried to drill some sense into my brother. If he's your son than he'll go and protect his Zoya because I know tonight is going to be night of tears. When I slam the door on Tanveer it must have provoke her and if I am correct she isn't home at the moment"Asad stood up exiting Najma's room. He search for Tanveer, but Najma is right. She isn't home.
His eyes spoke the volume of a lion. His actions swore on himself to protective Zoya and defeat death.
Will Asad be able to protective Zoya? Where is Tanveer?
