Going on... The dance... The beauty of it can't be told in words. The slight brush of his fingers against her cheeks. How he held her so close to him. How through the words of the song he was telling her what he's worth.
The last bit where Zoya spun with no thought... It was like she wanted Asad to hold her, pull her back to the world... It was like she knew he would hold her, but when the chandelier fell on her...
I saw a spark of disappointment that it wasn't Asad who saved her.
Asad didn't growl. He pulled her impossibly close to himself and hugged her for dear life. Every person present in the room could feel the love and worry his heart held. His heavy heart lightened as he breathed into her hair.
And even though Asad said what he did... I believe that he genuinely cared about Tanveer. An old friend will never take the place of a distant cousin. Even if she poses danger for the others...
But let's hope he overcomes his misconceptions.
Till next time.
Sand.
