[ NOTE: Rest assured I am a hardcore vm watching,Os reading Asya fan and Im dying to see them say "Qubool hai". But today Im a little upset with Asads behaviour and the new Ayaan charmed me so much that I just needed to look at the other side for a brief moment. ]
The way he looks at her,as though his life is walking around in her body,the way she looks at him with hurt in her eyes when he refuses to confess his feelings for her,the way when they're together whether fighting or loving theres no one else in the world but them.Infact the song Rabtaa is made for them. And the chemistry between Asya/Kabhi is the most intense and passionate thing since ASR and Khushi.
But just for a moment,apart from the love triangle lets look at the new Ayaan Ahmed Khan,Vikrant Massey. He is handsome,hero material and has that killer cute smile. He adds a gentle and earnest touch to Ayaans character while keeping the mischievousness intact. He adds the depth to Ayaans character that was missing. His expressions in interacting with his family and Zoya were wonderful and suddenly even the family scenes arent so tiresome and stretched out because its just a treat to watch him. Ive never liked Ayaan more than I do right now.
Lets look at Zoya.Shes a girl who's got a heart of gold. Loves openly and never holds grudges or indulges in self pity. Asad and she share a beautiful mix of attraction,care,love and sometimes aggression. They both compliment each other,she brings him out of his shell and challenges him. He brings out the responsible part of her. Theres one thing missing. Respect. Unfortunately,Asad seems to have no respect or trust for/in her.
He has said the most insulting,hurtful,mean,horrible things to her and slapped her and even slashed her character in front of strangers like Mr Dhurundhar and still goes around on his high horse,as though HES too good for HER just because she doesnt wear traditional clothes and and is different and creative and makes mistakes. Today when people were talking ill of Zoya instead of coming to her defence he was just pissed because of society and much as I too love Asad and even his Akduness that just made me so angry and upset,he loves her now and he still doesnt care enough?And Zoya just continues to love him through it all,occassionaly messing up a little here and there and just wishing for him to accept and like her.
Do you remember the time Tanveer and Asad were talking about poetry and Zoya said she does shayari and Asad smirked at her and said she wouldnt know anything about real poetry and her sad,hurt expression? Now imagine a hypothetical scenario where Zoya,Asad and Ayaan are together. Zoya recites a shayari and Asad has a disgusted expression on his face. Ayaan on the other hand would smile say wah wah and recite his own. If Ayaan fell in love with her he would announce it to the whole world and proudly show her off. He wouldn't say she was not worth being anyones wife or daughter in law. He would know her value.
I ask you all today not as someone in favour of Ayaan Zoya pairing but as one who truly loves both Asad and Zoya. Doesnt Zoya deserve someone who makes her feel good enough? Doesnt she deserve someone who respects her? Who doesnt judge her clothing or personality but just accepts her and loves her. Doesnt Asad need to stop feeling guily later all the time but start respecting her valueing her?
Asad is a character that is so in love with Zoya that even if he doesnt say it,you can see the love overflowing and spilling out in his eyes.
But is love enough? No. Akdu Ahmed Khan really needs to open his eyes and see that what you see isnt always what you get and I'm hoping that when he comes to know of his so called perfect "Tanu" being the devil incarnate he will realize that all you need to be a good daughter in law/wife/woman/person is a kind heart that is full of love and compassion which is just what Zoya has. And that is not something you get by donning demure clothing or personifying the infamous "tehzeeb". That is something you get by learning to care about and respect the human being infront of you no matter how they are dressed,how they talk or how they look.
But on the other hand one cant be too hard on Asad because hes had a hard life and childhood and hes a man so filled with pain that he's rendered "emotionally challenged" as Zoya often calls him.
Love is incomplete without respect for each other and if Asad and Zoya don't learn that soon,they will find themselves getting bound to Tanveer and Ayaan sooner than they can say Qubool hai!
They will be living a life of duty and bereft of simply because they loved but they could not learn to respect each other and put their egos asleep in their world of love ot even worse get married themselves and be constantly clashing and fighting and hurting each other.
[P.S.: dont kill me,I love Asad and Ksg to death and watch this show mainly for them but I just want him to accept and love Zoya the way she is.
