TIME HEALS EVERYTHING
"It has been said 'Time heals all wounds', I don't agree. The wounds remain. In time, the mind protecting its sanity covers them with scar tissue and the pain lessens. But it's never gone"
-Rose Kennedy
The sunset was an intensely beautiful one. It was cloudy with shades of blues and purples lining every other corner the eyes could perceive, the winds blowing awaiting a sudden burst of shower and the sunlight gorgeously spread over its wide rays along the cloud lines creating an image so powerful that she stared at it for long. She was lying on the raw sands of the beach with her feet interlocked occasional greeted by the high tide waves. The words from the quote were still ringing in her head. She has no idea what time it is and for how long she has been sitting there thinking about how true those words are. But does the pain lessen? Was something she kept asking herself and the only conclusion she could come up with was maybe it does, that's why she can't remember their faces clearly though the polaroid in her hand showed the faces perfectly, she seemed to remember them to be something else. Pictures can be deceptive like the one she held it seemed to display the picture of two people with the brightest smiles on their faces, they looked happy but as far as she remembered she dint know what real happiness meant. She was sitting there and thinking to herself totally oblivious to her surroundings. There was a pair of eyes keenly observing her all this while. He has come to the beach to clear his mind off all the things that it was going through. Instead as he came there he found that someone else has occupied his usual spot where he used to sit. It's not the girl that disturbed him but it was her face, that face which looked so pure and innocent. Unlike other girls whose face is usually drowned in make-up instead hers almost had none. What made him more attracted to her face was though it looked so pure there was something disturbing about it, and then it clicked. It was those annoying frown lines, puffy cheeks with a slightly red nose and her smudged eye makeup which made it clear that she was crying. Somehow he dint like that thought and there was this sudden urge in him to go to her and console her, tell her that everything will be alright. As he advanced towards her there were many questions going through his head. Questions like "why the hell am I doing this?" "What am I supposed to say?" But one thing he knew was he had to do it, why? He had no idea about it. So when he finally reached her he spoke what first came into his mind.
"Is there any problem?" but there was no reply. She looked lost. Now what was he supposed to do? Should he leave? No came an instant reply from both his heart and mind. So he did what he thought was the right thing to do.

It was the tender touch on her shoulder which broke her chain of thought and brought her back. As she turned towards the source of disturbance she found that the hand belonged to a young attractive man who was dressed in a suit but the blazer was in his hand and tie hung loosely around his neck. The sleeves were rolled up, front few button of his shirt were open revealing his chiseled chest. She couldn't help but notice that he had a tall, well-built body which was worth drooling over. Controlling her thought she wondered she'd ask him why he was bothering her but all that escaped her mouth was a simple "huh" which made him repeat his earlier question.
"Is there any problem" this made her raise her eyebrows and question him.
"Why would you ask me such a question Mr who are you ?Do I know you?"
"Well no you don't know me and who am I? I don't think so you would want to know that and I'm asking you that because clearly you seem to be sad about something and are crying so"
"So you thought you'll show me some sympathy and act as if you care" she completed his sentence
" No why would I do that and listen to people before you jump to conclusions, I just thought you might need someone to talk to so I came here to be that someone"
" well thank you so much for the concern but I don't need any part of your GENEROUSNESS. I'm fine this way and you go ahead and mind your business, and whatever makes you feel like I would share my problems with a complete stranger like you"
"trust me you will feel much once you share it with someone and why not a stranger?"
"okay if you dint understand what I said earlier then how about I am not interested does that make sense now and what do mean by why not a stranger? Dude I don't understand how you can expect me to tell you everything about me? when I don't know you at all"
"well that's the best part, when I don't know anything about you I can't go around telling people about your
problems. You see people we know can always back stab you but a stranger what benefit will it do him/ her when they don't even know your name all they know is your face and your problem. And you never know maybe they will come up with the perfect solution to your problem."
She dint know why but something about this stranger and his words made her want to trust him and believe in him. She didn't know why, but she felt an incredible affinity for the person standing in front of her. Well, she was also mesmerized by his excruciating beauty. And then she made up her mind that finally she will let go of all the things which were buried in her and kept with in her for two extremely painful years. She thought that it was time that someone knew, thus she decided to tell it all to someone anonymous to her, who looked like an angel in disguise to her
