Zoya was shell-shocked. What she did next defined the power of love.

As if in slow motion, Zoya spun around and Raghu's knife piereced her shoulder. She screamed in agony. Raghu, irritated by the turn of things, quickly retrieved the knife and shoved it at Asad who stood there dumb-founded.

Zoya clutched her shoulder with one hand and the wall with the other. She fell slowly to the ground slowly, as if an angel fell from the heavens.

"ZOYA!" Asad shouted. He caught Raghu's hand and snatched the knife from his hand. Asad threw it to the floor. He landed a straight punch into Raghu's stomach and then picked him up and threw him to the ground. He fell with a thud that resounded in the entire hallway. Asad kicked him in the gut. Raghu, now completely overpowered, submitted weakly to Asad's beating. Asad was breaking every bone in Raghu's body, as he had truly deserved ever since he committed the mistake of hurting Asad's Zoya.

Raghu was half-dead, he was coughing blood and convulsing on the ground with pain.

Asad was out of his mind with rage and he was hammering Raghu's jaws with his fists when he heard a meek voice.

"Mr. Khan …." Zoya managed to squeak. She was lying next to the wall in a pool of blood. Zoya felt as if every fibre of her muscle was torn. The pain was excruciating and unbearable.

Asad's fury was immediately replaced by anxiety and care.

He went to Zoya and held her in his arms. Her skin was hot with blood, tears shed from his eyes, as if he felt the pain.

He wiped her tears.

"I wont let anything happen to you."Asad said, trying to fake conviction in his statement.

Zoya smiled, that beautiful angelic smile that had won his heart.

"I don't want to die."

Asad shushed her. He did not want to hear the D- word from her mouth.

"I love you. We'll be together forever."

He picked her up, as delicately as a feather and took her to his car. The rode on the wind and reached the hospital.

After sometime, Zoya was being operated upon. Asad was worried more than ever but soon the red bulb blinked off and the doctor came out and gestured a thumbs up. Asad heaved a sigh of relief. He had never felt so great in his entire life.

He went inside the hospital ward and there she was, the queen of his dreams. She smiled at him. he walked towards her and enveloped her in a warm hug. She hugged him back. It was the most beautiful feeling in the entie world
