Such a beautiful week! And it ended with such a bang, leaving us all wondering what in the world's gonna happen next. But in the meantime, here's what I've compiled for this week:
'Huh' moment 1: Najma opens the laptop after Zoya leaves
Najma and Dilshaad were literally sobbing while sitting on the sofa after Zoya left. So why did Najma reach for the laptop to watch the very video that caused Zoya to be ousted out of the house in the first place? I mean if I were her I'd be too distraught to even look at the video. And the best part is that they'd been watching it on Asad's laptop that he smashed, so how come it was back intact then? Okay let's say he didn't smash it that bad, so it didn't break. But then they'd all watched the video up to the point where Razia had already slapped Zoya and was talking trash about Dilshaad, so why is it then when Najma opened the laptop, it started showing a part of the video (Zoya talking to Ayaan about Asad's introvert nature) that happened much, much early on? I would expect the video to resume where it had stopped right?
'Huh' moment 2: Asad comes home from the airport with Zoya
Asad entered the house alone first, Dilshaad and Najma were shown to be upset thinking that he didn't manage to stop Zoya. Then Zoya appears from behind and they become happy, and the camera spans out when Asad and Zoya begin walking in side by side. That's when you notice that Asad is wheeling in Zoya's luggage for her. When Zoya appeared from behind Asad, she didn't seem to be holding onto any luggage, so it means the luggage was with Asad all along. So when he first entered the house alone, didn't Dilshaad and Najma notice that Asad had Zoya's luggage with him, meaning that she didn't go? It's quite impossible that they didn't see it; Zoya's black bag was really big.
'Huh' moment 3: Tanveer drops the live wire in Zoya's bathtub
I'm sorry, but I really don't think that you can see lightning bolts in the water when you drop a live wire into it. Besides, if it is in fact true that you can see the electricity passing through water, then Zoya would've seen it too and she definitely wouldn't have stepped into the bathtub then.
'Huh' moment 4: Asad finds the suspicious wiring and runs to Zoya's bathroom
Seriously! Did he not find it even a little strange that there was a wire running from the fuse box, across the floor and directly into Zoya's bathroom? Obviously it'd been planted there. I can't believe he couldn't be bothered to investigate it. Okay but let's say he panicked and all he wanted to do was save Zoya first, so since he was standing next to the fuse box, would it not make more sense to just pull the wire off from there to stop the electricity supply first, and then run to Zoya to make sure she's okay?
'Huh' moment 5: Asad's family walks with the groom's side and Rashid's family walks with the bride's side
Frankly, it looked to me like the walk was pretty long. It really can't be that none of them from either side looked in front to see where they were headed. And if they looked in front, it really can't be that they didn't immediately notice each other.
'Huh' moment 6: Asad asks Zoya if she wants the engagement to be real
Okay so everyone has been cribbing about how Asad refuses to admit that he meant it when he put the engagement ring. But Zoya never mentioned to Asad how she felt about it either all along. So at first I thought okay, maybe it's because she wants Asad to say he means it and then she'll say she does too. I mean, if he keeps denying it and shutting her out, then Zoya too has no opportunity to tell him how she feels. But then Asad finally let his guard down and gave her some leeway, he put the ball in her court and asked her if she wants the engagement to be real. What happened then? Zoya did exactly what Asad had been doing all along! She put her defences up and said no. So there's not much difference between her and Asad anymore, she's simply just as emotionally challenged as him. It'd be hypocritical of her to continue calling him that.
'Huh' moment 7: The longest day in the history of QH
The day started with Zoya making plans to go to Ayaan's engagement. Mr DB and Dolly appeared at the door and began questioning them. Zoya left for Ayaan's house, the whole poisoning fiasco happened, slap happened, speeches delivered. Zoya came home, got yelled at by Asad, and Mr DB and Dolly appeared yet again. According to him, it was 5pm then. Zoya gets dragged to the airport, Asad cries in his room for a really long time, gets sense knocked into his head and then goes to the airport as well. He gets stuck in a jam, runs to the airport and looks for Zoya for quite some time as well, before finally spotting her. Both of them struggle to reach each other, the proposal happens with Asad taking his own sweet time doing it as well. Both of them spend an eternity staring and smiling at each other thereafter. In the meantime, Humeira gets admitted to the hospital, and recovers as well. So much so that she's even brought home. Razia tries to throw acid on Badi Bee, Humeira is shown well enough to walk around the house looking for hair oil despite the fact that she just returned from the brink of death. In the meantime, Asad and Zoya return home, it is shown to be dark outside. Tanveer tries to electrocute Zoya and fails. Then all of them, from both families, get ready to go for a wedding reception of a character that's never been mentioned before. At the wedding, Zoya tells some girls that she just got engaged today. That means that all of this, my dear friends, happens in one long day. I now truly believe that they live on Venus (it's the planet with the longest day in the solar system).
Highlight of the week:
Dilshaad finally broke her silence! To tell you guys the truth, I usually skip scenes when the characters begin giving long speeches, but I simply couldn't skip this one. I was hanging onto every word that she said, and my heart was filled with so much happiness that she finally gave everyone a piece of her mind. Go Dilshaad!!
Okay so that's all for this week folks. As for the upcoming week, I'm quite sure that Dilshaad chooses Zoya. And if she doesn't, then it doesn't make any sense for Zoya to stay anymore. She thinks her father is dead, so her only reason for staying is Asad. If Asad too doesn't agree to marry her, and let's say in some strange moment in time he decides that he would rather marry Tanveer, then she has absolutely no reason to stay. I still firmly believe that Zoya should just pack her bags and fly back to the US, give Asad a little taste of how his life would suck without her in it.
Oh on a side note, I have exams starting on Monday. So for those who follow my 'huh' moments every week, a big big sorry! I won't be updating this space for maybe 1 or 2 weeks. Hope you understand! I'll be back soon (:
