I think I agree with AsadkiDeewani. He will avoid the question, by saying what is wrong wtih you, or, ye kaisa behuda sawal hai, or something and just go in his room. Later, over coffee, he and Dilshaad have a heart to heart, and may be he will admit to do whatever his ammi wants, and dilshaad will make him *begin to* realize what he feels and give him confidence to acknowledge it. May be he will mention his insecurities to her, and someone will knock sense to Zoya also.
I don't understand why we are constantly calling Asad emotionally challenged. Yes, he is denying his feelings, but he is aware of it. Zoya has not yet even reached that stage. Just because Asad is not shouting top of his lungs to ask what he means to Zoya, Zoya is not looking beyond the obvious either. Asad has given many hints to Zoya about his feelings, the cheesecake etc,, are little give aways, yet Zoya, like nay normal girl is hell bent on making him confess. This irritates Asad and makes him think eve more that she does not have the thehraav hsi ammi has. Zoya should slow down, bow down. Yesterday the way he said, why are you still wearing the ring, also gave away the fact that even he is confused with Zoya's behavior.
Not once, not twice,but thrice Zoya has backed out of the progression in their relationship.
One is right after Mangalpur, when Asad thinks that she is going to mention what happened between them to his Ami, but she is referring to Mariams wedding. The other is after the engagement announcement, and one is yesterday. When Asad already thinks she lacks the basic qualities he wants in a life partner, although superficial, her denials and over the top pestering is not helping them either. She is indeed projecting a picture that she is taking this as a joke, though even she is not.
If asad is emotionally challenged and hides behind woh-actually, so is zoya, ho makes fun of everything.
Even Asad needs confidence that Zoya feels for him. Whatever Zoya has done for Asad so far, unfortumatenly does not stand out like whatever Asad has done for Zoya - I am not saying she has not done enough, but just saying that it is her personality to mess with other peoples business so it does not stand out much. On the other hand Asad has gone out of the way for her, out of character. I really wish whatever happens, these people introspect their own feelings.
