I agree 100% with your analysis. The only thing I don't agree with in Asad's behaviour is his lies. I understand that he's afraid, that he's terrified to deal with his emotions. But I just wish he wouldn't lie. I can understand him running away from the situation, locking himself in his room, or avoiding the subject. All acceptable reactions for someone unable to deal with their emotions. But why lie? What good could possibly come out of him lying, not only to Zoya, but to his Ammi and most importantly to himself. It's regressive, and frankly disappointing. Especially after the intimacy (relationship wise) that these two have developed.

And he admitted it to himself that he wanted her to stay, that there is something between them. So why lie? Don't tell her. Don't give in to her questioning or games (I am in no way bashing Zoya either, I Actually agree and feel for her), if you don't want to, Asad. But for god's sake don't lie to your mother. I just don't agree with that tidbit. That is all. But that's not in respect to your post alone, but the show and the writers in general. And of course men in general lol
