Life is strange...Zoya;s character is an orphan and yet she can be said to have more love and more people in her life than some non-orphans do. She has a connection to everyone in the show, and everyone, other than Razia, have given her some form of love and acceptance at some point...
Zoya and Asad - Asad was the first person that Zoya had a connection to. We were shown Asad seeing Zoya in the dargah, and although we had the sense that he was smitten with her on first sight, we were never sure until recently, when we saw and heard Asad recalling his first sighting of her. Since then, Zoya and Asad have been running into each other, until, finally, fate, or God, simplified the equation and put Zoya directly in Asad's line of vision, that is, in his home.
Zoya and Ayaan - Ayaan was the second person that was connected to Zoya. But by the time Ayaan had entered the dargah and saw Zoya, Asad had pretty much put his stamp and claim on Zoya. The connection between Zoya and Ayaan has been on the sidelines...with Ayaan also running behind, but never really catching, his "meriwalli", whereas, Asad's "meriwalli" always ran into him, literally! It was not until recently that Ayaan and Zoya finally meet, but these meetings always had Asad's presence between them, whether Asad was present or not.
Zoya and Dilshad - now here are two very similar women. Zoya had connected to Dilshad on a much deeper level right from the beginning. Zoya was able to read Dilshad's pain straight away, perhaps because they both have a deep set pain that they are both dealing with. Zoya calls Dilshad phupie but it is easy to see that she is more like Zoya's mother than an 'aunt'...sometimes it seems she is more like Zoya's mom than Najma's. Also, as I stated earlier, these two women are very similar: they fight for the men they love and they are genuinely loving people and hold no ill will to others.
Zoya and Najma - no need to say much here...Zoya is a good friend, role model, sister(-in-law), and teacher in one for Najma. Najma has had her brother and mother to take care of her, but Zoya is the first person that has really been someone to connect to Najma at an equal level. Zoya has taken Najma under her wing and has taught, (or has tried to teach her when Asad wasn't around to stop Zoya), how to take care of herself and be independent.
Zoya and Humeria - the first meeting between these two was at the fashion show. Zoya came in and helped Humeria like a big sister does. Later we learned that Zoya WAS Humeria's big sister, and we were wondering if Humeria would ever know that Zoya was the one that gave her encouragement to walk the ramp at the fashion show. Well, we got our wish, and today we saw that Zoya brought their first meeting/connection to Humeria's attention. It was a lovely scene and it bound these two together in such a positive way that come what may, when the truth of Zoya's paternity is shown, Zoya and Humeria have a sisterly bond already and will not diminish by the evil that others harbour .
Zoya and Siddiqui - although neither of them know the truth of the other, these two already have a connection and I am not sure if this connection will be severed once they realize they are father and daughter. Today Siddiqui gave Humeria the same gift that he gave his other daughter as well and judging from today's episode, I believe that both gifts were given in love. I do believe that at some level, Siddiqui genuinely was deeply moved to meet baby Zoya, otherwise he would not have give such a gift. Today we realize how special that gift was because he gave his precious, legitimate daughter exactly the same gift. I am waiting for the day when Siddiqui realizes that Zoya is his daughter, and has been living in his enemies home...once Siddiqui was shown coming to Asad's home but refuse to enter when Dilshad invited him in. I can't wait for ths to come full circle and have him standing outside Asad's home again and see how the CV's play this scenerio out. Alhough it is difficult to predict what will happen, as the CV's creativity is far beyond my abilities, I have figured out by now, that the CV's will bring this up again because they don't leave any loose ends and loose scenes...that is, they tie in old scenes to give us closure and leave us without any doubt about the motives and feelings of their characters.
I know this is a very long-winded email, and if you are reading this last sentence...thank you for your patience...and I just want to say again...I LOVE THIS SHOW!!!!!
