I find his interviews quite discomforting.
Very few people have such a clear perspective of life. His most recent interview threw me back to reality.
We are young and not so wise. We love a show and its characters. We also love the actors who play these characters(Surbhi my fav!)
But we often forget(and do not want to accept) that at the end of the day, its all fictional!
Asad and Zoya are only two characters. 'Qubool Hai' is only a show which will survive only the till time and story permits it to.
Yes, am being too pessimistic but is this not the truth?
In one of the episodes of 'Balika Vadhu' there end message was that human beings surround themselves with unrealistic expectations and then feel cheated when they are not met. These unrealistic expectations only contribute to our saddness.
A more gifted writer would have elaborated on this topic in a much better way but I hope its not too awry to understand what I actually meant to convey.
Coming back to Karan's interview and what he said about our beloved leading lady, we have all known since the very beginning of 'Qubool hai' that Surbhi and Zoya are very much alike but I never knew that Surbhi is so gullible. Poor girl they made her say,"Mujhe bahot zor se bathroom jaana hai, Mr Khan"! That too twice! How embarassed she must have been.
Karan also said that Surbhi is mentally a child and crazier than Zoya. Not complaining if this craziness brings about spontenity, cuteness and innocence to Zoya.
Infact, ever since this melancholic track has kicked off the entire tone of the show has become somber. 'Qubool hai' with a lively(adding flirty and jealous) Zoya is just something else :)
No other television actress has ever impressed me with her comic timing so much.(We can set aside Komal Chautala of F.I.R!)
