Final Part: Qabool Hai.

Asad hugged Zoya and shared the past. When Zoya left for Bhopal; Tanveer played her cards right and appealed to Dilshad. Tanveer shared that she had lost Kalla, her business and her life. She had no-one to fall back on. She mentioned to Dilshad that Kalla's last wish had been to change the child-hood friendship into a lifelong relationship between the families. Dilshad remembered Kalla's help in her time of need (when Rashid left her) Perhaps, the time had come to return the kindness. Dilshad had her misgivings about the match but she knew that Tanveer would be the perfect wife as she was the Asad's kind of girl. Personally, Dilshad would have preferred Zoya but she was aware that Asad and Zoya could not stand each other.

On the other hand, Asad had plans to tell Ammi about Zoya and him. He was confident that she would accept the relationship as she had loved Zoya as her own. She was the life and soul of the Khan house-hold. In the evening, Najma mentioned to Asad that Ammi wished to have chat with him. Asad was worried. He went up to his Ammi's room where in Dilshad discussed his nikah plans and before he could tell her about Zoya, she told him that she had chosen a bride for him. Asad was shocked. Then she stumped him when she said that her chosen bride was Tanveer. Asad could never break his Ammi's heart or promise; so he broke his. His Ammi meant the world to him. Asad agreed to the proposal but made one request: The nikah had to be completed early. He knew that once Zoya returned, he would not be able to marry Tanveer. Tanveer had over-heard the conversation and was super excited.

Asad consoled himself with the fact that he and Zoya were different individuals just like chalk and cheese. Their marriage would be doomed from Day 1. She was a misfit in his life and for his family. His head agreed but he could NOT CONVINCE HIS HEART. His heart knew that Tanveer was the wrong choice but he let his head win. The nikah happened. Two days before, Zoya moved out never to return. He had paid a huge price for his Ammi but he promised Allah that he would be a good husband unlike his father.

In a few months, Dilshad and Asad had discovered Tanveer's lies Dilshad over-heard her conversation with Razia Bi about Imran and Asad had figured out about her pregnancy (as he and Tanveer had not consummated the marriage). Both of them had confronted her, she spilled the truth about everything: about Zoya, the rifts between Zoya and Asad, the misunderstandings etc. She had also shared with them that Zoya was Siddiqui's illegitimate daughter. Asad was shattered about the faade. Her stories had been lies as she had wanted access to his wealth to take one Razia Bi. He wanted to reach out and bring Zoya back BUT then Tanveer smirked that Ayaan and Zoya had gotten married. He assumed that Zoya had moved. He could not let himself come between his love (Zoya) and his life (Ayaan).

Tanveer negotiated a deal with Asad. Asad would give her huge sum to move out of his life and not reveal Zoya's identity. She agreed. Asad went back to his old life BUT he had lost his faith in women and would never ever re-marry. Fate had other plans.

Now:

Zoya loved him for being a good son BUT SHE ANGRY. She was angry because he did not think she was worth him. She was hurt and shattered. After all they had been through he still thought that she not worth him. She was mighty pissed. Slowly and steadily, her temper began to rise. For the first time, she screamed at Mr. Khan and asked him to leave. Asad had been prepared for this. Zoya returned to Zainab, hugged her and cried. Zainab was an unusually perceptive child. Her strength lay in her silence. She held her Ammi tight. Armaan, the chatter-box had told her that Asad was their Abbu. Zoya had broken down completely and she made up her mind to return to New York before more damage could be done.

Later in the evening:

Dilshad, Najma and Armaan were out, Zoya was missing as usual. Asad returned from work and peeped in to check on Zainab. He saw his daughter staring out, deep in thought. He smiled and enquired about her health. In an innocent and cute tone she said "Fine, Abbu". Asad's heart melted and he wanted to hug her but controlled. Zainab was keen to know if Asad understood Hindi. He smiled and affirmed. Zainab shared there was this particular word that was bothering her. Her ammi refused to help her. Zainab struggled with the word'.Naaa something. Asad encouraged her with hints but she negated all. Then it struck her. The word devastated Asad Khan as Zainab uttered the word Najayaz. He asked her the reason behind the particular word and Zainab innocently shared that Razia Bi would address them as such. Asad was FURIOUS. He reached out to Zainab and hugged her. Zainab could feel her Abbu's tears. Zoya watched and she too had tears.

Next morning:

Asad, Dilshad, Najma and the kids were at the breakfast table. Asad asked after Zoya as she was missing. Before Zainab could stop him, Armaan revealed that Zoya had to meet the travel agent. They were returning to New York. Asad's facial muscles tightened. Dilshad and Najma were shocked. How could Zoya think of returning after all this? Asad had to stop her but HOW? But his mother had made up her mind. She would NOT let the best thing to happen in their lives go away.

Zoya returned and Dilshad caught her. Dilshad asked Zoya if she had decided again to return without consulting them; Zoya felt guilty. Dilshad had been more than a phupi. Dilshad made Zoya understand that the children needed both parents. She also spoke to Zoya about Asad wherein she told Zoya that she was the ONLY ONE who could restore Asad's faith in humanity and relationships. And for Zoya, she could build the family she always wanted. She requested Zoya to re-consider. But also assured her that if Zoya felt otherwise then Dilshad would not STOP her. Zoya loved the manner Dilshad made her understand and realize..just like an Ammi. She hugged Dilshad and had to admit that the children were doing so much better here. Armaan had become naughtier but also more stable and Zainab was opening up. Dilshad was a Fanta fabulous grand-ma, Najma an awesome aunt and Mr. Khan, well, he was Mr. Khan.

Zoya agreed that she would not leave but she could not be in the Khan house-hold for long. She would move to a house close by so that the children have access. Dilshad discussed the same with Asad. Asad told his ammi that he would handle it. In the evening, Zoya was sitting on the bench when Asad walked in with coffee. Since the revelation, she had not spoken to him. Asad handed over the coffee to Zoya and asked for her forgiveness. Zoya could NOT let herself do so. She informed him of the decision. Asad shared that there was another option. Zoya could not fathom. Asad requested her to consider a nikah to him for the kids. Zoya was stunned that even now he wanted to marry her for the kids not for them. Damn him. Poor Asad, he thought that if he told Zoya about his true feelings then she would pity him; hence, he used the children to get to her. He told her that she would not want their kids to be called illegitimate. This hit Zoya hard. It was not the proposal she had hoped for but agreed for the kids. This was so UNLIKE ZOYA FARROUKHI.

Week Later:

The ceremony was held in the SAME mosque where Asad had first laid his eye on Zoya. Zoya was in a beautiful pink saree and Asad in a white sherwani. Asad could not take his eyes off Zoya. Select people had been invited: Dilshad, Najma, Ayaan, Humeira, Aapi, Jiju and the kids. Zoya had wanted to invite Rashid but Mr. Khan put his foot down.

The maulvi called the couple and asked: "Kya aap, Zoya Farroukhi ko yeh nikah Qabool Hai". Everyone was tensed but atmosphere eased as she said "Qabool hai" She muttered "Jahanpanah Six Pack ban gaye Zoya's Farroukhi's 8 pack" and "Kya Aap Asad Ahmed Khan ko yeh nikah Qabool Hai" Asad said "Qabool Hai" and he whispered " Asad Khan, Muzibat mod lena koi aap se sikhe.". The entire family was elated and happy. Finally, Asad and Zoya were married. Asad thought he had a life time to show Zoya his love. As everyone was hugging each other, Asad called out to Zoya. Zoya went up to him and he slipped a solitaire ring on her ring finger with a mental promise that this time their love was FOREVER.
