So finally Zoya's past comes to light. In a previous post I had made the following prediction:

I think that Zoya's parentage is possibly 'unsavoury'.

Was going through Zeenat and Anwar's conversation on the 7th nov. The conversation is as follows (I have edited it).

Anwar: We can't stop Zoya from finding out her past.

Zeenat: Lekin agar Zoya ke saamne saari sachchai aagayi, toh woh kaise bardasht kar paayegi. (But if the truth is revealed to Zoya, how will she be able to handle it.)

Anwar: 20 years is a very long time. I don't think she'll be able to find out a truth that has been buried under the dust of 20 years. But we have to let her try...or she will not be able to move on.

So Zeenat and Anwar know but don't want to tell Zoya about her painful past. And they seem to think that the best solution for her is to find the right husband, instead.

So perhaps Zoya is illegitimate.

And it turns out I guessed right! Allowing myself a little dance to celebrate🥳And shall turn my spotlight on other impenetrable mysteries like - if Tanveer and Asad were chaddi-buddies, how is it that Dilshad, Asad and Najma don't know that she has mismatched eye colour. 😆 Or did she wear contacts as a grubby kid?

It is really a shame if Zoya were illegitimate.

One more stroke against her in Mr. Khan's book about not being able to fit in with his perfect life and perfect family perhaps?

ditto same thought about zoya's past,
one thing for sure now... the story is heading in the same way mentioned in zee synopsis.. asad getting enaged to someone and then finding out she is grey shaded ..here zoe marrying ayaan.. BIG NO!!!!😡

about tanveer.. anything can happen in daily soap world ,i wonder how does tanveer know raziya and as u said asad and she are childhood budies then how come he doesn't know about her.. really strange

No but in the live update it says that Zoya's mom was married to siddique first and had a baby girl (zoya) and siddique doesn't know about his daughter cuz she out her in an orphanage

According to the pre cap Zoya is not illegitimate, her mum was Siddique's first wife.

@ bold: Yes and this is why Tanveer must stay on and help the emotionally stunted Mr. Khan to grow into a hero.

It seems the PH can't cure itself of its Cinderella addiction - make the heroine as much of a 'damsel in distress' as possible so that she can be rescued by her Prince Charming and they can live happily ever after. So PH is ruthlessly undermining Zoya's modern, independent, and bold characterisation by lumbering her with a tainted background, which will require Asad (like ASR in IPK) to wage war with himself and society to overcome.

Exactly...was thinking the same

So now I am thinking that maybe Ghafoor doesn't even know that the woman who was murdered by Raziya was his first wife, otherwise how come he doesn't know he has a child

Hmmm in the precap Razia says "hamare shauhar ke kisi aur aurat se taalukaat the..." Talukaat to me means a relationship outside of marriage. Not that it matters too much even if Zoya's mum was a secret wife unaccepted by society, because it still renders Zoya's background 'unsavoury', which was the crux of my post.

I seem to have missed this one. I have rewatched the epi posted on this forum and can find references to 'taalukaat' but not to shaadi. Any chance you can post this link?

I hope for Zoya's sake that that is the case. Although in one epi, Razia clearly tells Ghafoor something along the lines that if he can't stand the heat he shouldn't have started this game of fire, or words to that effect. This makes me think that Ghafoor is not innocent, but having had relations with Zoya's mum, wanted her out of his life and either willingly turned a blind eye to Razia's deeds or actually asked her to do the dirty. It's interesting that Zoya was a few years old when her mum was killed. So are we to take it that Ghafoor knew about Zoya's existence but didn't care? Or was that why Zoya's mum met Razia in the doll factory for - to try and get her child the rights it was due, and got killed for her efforts.
