He could also be intentionally ignoring her because just like post-mangalpur he realizes at least at a subconcious level that he has fallen for Zoya and is vulnerable to her (even if he doesn't remember what happened or what he said, he does know at minimum sub-consciously and possibly even consciously).

So he puts up his walls again and one of his methods of putting up the walls is by criticizing Zoya or making her a 'misfit'-not good enuf in some way - maybe that is how he convinces himself.

If he accepts Zoya, then a lot of rules that he has put together fall apart. ...and his strict rules whilst judgemental helped him be strong, survive, provide for and look after his family.
His identity is being threatened...

Similarly if accepts that Rashid is innocent then he may have to let some of the hatred go and that would open his thinking that possibly he was wrong about other things. ... and he may have to face the 7-10 yr old boys feelings that maybe he wasn't enough and so so father left him not once but twice.

I am defintely NOT saying that how he is treating Zoya is right but it explains his behaviour some what
