I didn't know whether to laugh or to cry in the Tanveer/ Zoya sequence'
Asad's introduction b/w Tanveer and Zoya:
To Zoe: This is Tanveer...(pause)...Tannu...my childhood friend.
To Tanveer: This is Miss Farooqui...my mother's close acquaintance's relative 😲...she is staying with us for a few days...she is from NY.
My question to Asad is: Would it really hurt to say "This is my friend Zoya"? Our lives and Asad's life would have been much easier if he'd said that.
He is vehemently denying what his heart has already accepted. It's just like when you love a girl but in front of your friends you ignore her lest someone realizes what feeling you are harbouring inside you... and I thought AAK has outgrown that insecure phase of his life...🤔
AAK should have seen his own expression when Zoya twitches in pain while applying the anti-septic on her forehead...He is totally in love with her .
Tanveer doesn't seem to be a simple girl. I don't get the T & A friendship either. If she was such a close friend (inseparable! ) of Asad, then why does she call him 'Aap' instead of 'Tu/ tum'? and that Tannu-Jammie 'code names' seemed like showing off to me...She clearly understood that some turmoil was going on b/w Asad and Zoya, yet she interrupts them with a not-so-convincing apology. I mean, did she really think that Zoya was particularly interested in knowing the secret behind her calling him 'Jammie'? 😡 There is something unnatural in this so-called friendship, unlike the Zoya-Ayaan convo earlier which was spontaneous and so much fun. Tanveer is behaving like a wife (touchwood, NO) and a guardian angel to the family. No wonder Asad doesn't know the true meaning of friendship. I bet the only game she used to play in her childhood is 'ghar ghar' (Household chores) with Asad 😆.
I hated the way Zoya is suddenly out of this 'Happy family' wala picture and nobody seems to pay any heed to her whatsoever. My suggestion to Zoe is ' Just wipe your tears. You don't have to pretend to be a family member anymore, after being reminded by Asad the n'th time that you are a mere guest. Avoid Asad and Tannu and anything related to their weird/ awkward convo. If possible, make friends with like-minded people who are equally bad 'Shayar' like you (but don't think of marriage) and focus on the task of finding your abbu seriously.
BTW Zoe, Happy Women's Day to you.
Teddy ❤️
