Today's episode was lovely. Typical Gul Khan kind of episode.
I have to be frank here - I wouldn't have been able to watch and enjoy the episode had I not had previous experience with 4lions products. I would have reacted badly had anyone come within a foot of a certain Mr. Asad Ahmed Khan, except his beloved Zoya of course.
Was Asad in character today? Is he in love with ms. Farooqi? That's the one questions in many people's mind today.
Well, did you hear the earth shattering tone in which he kept calling out for Zoya, once he realized it was her iPad on the ground? Then inside the car, I found the positioning very interesting. Zoya sat at the back, while ms. Best friend sat next to him. Wondered why? Well...the best friend's relationship is established in Asad's life. No complication there. Relationship with Zoya is complicated as of now. They are both very much aware of each other. But nothing has been acknowledged yet. So, there is a certain awkwardness because of that. The guy is certainly on the edge since he has come close to losing ms. Farooqi, yet again. With the current relationship status, I thought the seating arrangements were well thought out...
Ms. Best friend is certainly trying to gauge Zoya's place in Asad's life. I don't think she has missed seeing Asad's agitation over Zoya at the accident site. Yet, she senses a certain tension (as all of us do). She is trying to learn more about Asad and Zoya's equation. She is taking the indirect route. She tries telling Asad that she wanted to talk about his mummy, but didn't want to do so in front of Zoya. Asad's answer wouldn't have reassured her. She gingerly brings up the "doll" as well. Yes, under the pretext of helping Rashid Ahmed Khan. But the fact that she has mentioned the doll right away, without wasting any time, makes me wonder about her intention. She may be grey or black, but she certainly is not as goody as she looks.
Finally, I found the conversation in Zoya's room to be very very interesting. He introduced Zoya as his mom's guest. Asad, you wish it was as simple as that!!!
Did you notice how awkward he felt when he introduced her that way? He was mildly irritated when Tanu came and interrupted them. He reluctantly left with Tanu when she said she wanted to talk to him. He accepted Tanu's comfort when she gave him comfort. He did not go out of his way to seek her out, nor did he show any inclination to really be with her. Asad Ahmed Khan has only one woman in his life. There is no doubt about that. He has already started thinking and breathing Zoya. If you felt hurt watching today's episode, it was because you saw it from Zoya's point of view. You would feel hurt if you saw the man you love is supposedly some other woman's best friend. But from Asad's point of view, Zoya and Tanu have different places in his life. He just doesn't know, yet, how to deal with his firebrand Zoya!!!
