Surbhi Jyoti take a bow!

Wow! She's a fabulous actress. She literally had me crying buckets when she was telling Asad her past or of what little she remembers of it. The emotions, the voice modulation...all freaking perfect! With all this talk about a new "lead" there is no doubt in my mind that Surbhi Jyoti is the life of this show! She has comic timing and she definitely knows how to work the drama.

To the scene itself: I thought it was well done and it's good to see Asad realize that life has dealt some people worse cards. That single tear that he shed says it all...and I am glad. It's about time Asad shows more range of emotions! Up until now he has been the judgemental, angry young man but today you get to see the empathic human being that he has the potential of being. It's probably going to take him months to truly get there but I suppose the hope is that he will.

I didn't really want to bring up Ayaan in this post but Asad got it right today, Ayaan is behaving like a selfish child. I am beginning to detest the character more and more. He really needs to grow up.

Btw was anyone else annoyed that nobody had told Zoya about her past? She has a RIGHT to know about her parents. Don't give the gory details but at least tell her something to remember her mother by. Poor child...I can just about imagine how she must have felt growing up.

Also the father is alive. I guess it has to be Mammu then...and apparently Zoya's mom was well known because Razia made a comment about how if the identity of the woman came out they would be arrested. That's an interesting piece of information.

We don't know if it's true though. I am going to wait for an official announcement.

Even if they do cast another girl i think she will be parallel lead. There is absolutely no way the ph will risk pissing off the fans. We are responsible for TRPs and if she's cast as lead I can foresee problems for them.

I think it's highly likely the story is following the zee synopsis storyline. The only issue I have with this is the Ayaan-Zoya track. I detest Ayaan (too immature and spoiled) and would hate to see Zoya saddled with him even if it just for a few months.

Even yesterday when she challenged him, her voice was stern and when she expained her reason to lie, it was so soft. From one screen to another she changes her attitude so softly, hardly notice but just flow with it. Just to appreciate and applaud later when watch it again..

On Ayaan, I really feel for the guy. Asad only never let him grow beyond himself and his own needs and is expecting things differently. It will take him to adjust with changes in life, just like it is taking for Asad actually. Would really want to give him chance after yesterday, he was good last few minutes..

I don't believe that. Honestly, when one reaches a certain age you have to make decisions and take a stand by yourself. Your big brother/mother/father etc are not going to be holding your hand for the rest of your life! Ayaan is presumably over the age of twenty one...it is quite shameful if he hasn't till date done anything for himself. I am in my twenties as well but I refused to let people tell me how to live my life. I had beliefs and ideals and I stuck to them and made decisions that would benefit and better my future. Ayaan as a character cannot use being spoiled by his parents and brother as a cop out. People are spoiled (at that age) only if they want to be...he can always put his foot down and assert himself.

Also, the thing that bugs me about Ayaan is the fact that he is so blind to Asad's pain and trauma. he claims to love his Bhaijaan but as of right now it's quite the one sided relationship!

LOL I desperately wanted him to hug her too but as you said in your post for the first time Asad realizes how terribly wrong he has been about Zoya. She is a "bechari" after all.
