I don't know what the makers are trying to show with poor Rashid being held captive in the Siddiqui house by mamujaan, but Rashid can never be entirely innocent in my eyes
It has already been revealed to us that while married to Dilshaad, Rashid already had a parallel family with Shireen.
If he was forced to marry Shireen, where did Ayaan, Nikhat, and Nuzzat come from? Did they spring up from the earth? He had to have copulated with Shireen, on more than one occasion. Are those signs of a forced marriage? I think not.
The only reason that Asad and Ayaan grew up together was because Shirren had left Rashid (and taken Nikhat, I'm assuming, since her and Najma seem to be the same age)
And then a couple of years later, when Najma was a year old, the doll factory incident happened, and he was forced to leave Dilshaad and be with Shireen, with whom he then has Nuzzat
I don't know why the makers are intent on showing him to be the bechara in the situation who had to choose his family's security over his love. But truth of the matter is that before any of it happened, he cheated on his one true love, Dilshaad, and married another woman, Shireen
And even if after the doll factory incident he was forced to be with Shireen, the marriage wasn't entirely loveless, and Nuzzat is proof of that.
