Slap and forgiveness

For the past few days forum was bombarded with posts about the slap n the physical abuse shown in the episode by the male lead and today the female lead was the target of many posts because she forgave the man very easily n quickly. I am not in favor of slap but want to share few points with my fellow forum members.
1. Abuse whether physical or emotional both should be condemned. Asad had abused Zoya quite some times before with his harsh words but it was taken quite lightly by the people.
2. We should not forget that they are characters portraying a certain thought process of a writer n in fiction writer should have a freedom to express the story the way he or she wanted. They do show what happens in real world to some extent . The whole Maryam issue for instance showed the dark side of our society. The male lead is also human n every person has his or her grey shades. Nobody is perfect. Asad realized he was wrong in judging Zoya n how badly he insulted her with his slap n also the words. He showed his character by going straight away n said sorry. If he is a strong headed cruel person he would not ask for forgiveness. Saying sorry admitting mistakes are never easy.
3. Zoya accepted his apology n showed her character. She doesn't keep grudges against people n this is her character. She understood what must have pushed Asad to belle act the way he did. It's not easy to forgive people n those who do that are the most strong and selfless people.
Just my viewpoint.

Consistency with characterization is what I like in QH really...
I was also not expecting Zoya to forgive so easily, but thats who she is. Not spineless, she understands relation, know where anger was coming from and who.
And when I just looked back few episode, I was like yeah thats she is Zoya what else I expected. SHe made him realize his mistake, I thought that Ammi sentence was really harsh, and she made sure he is aware of that..
So bravo writers and Gul for showing consistency and reality, no one is perfect..

We need to see the behavior and reactions of the characters in light of the way they are shown to us. The writers are showing us exactly what Asad should do in this situation n how Zoya should react to Asad behavior. They are characters n they will behave the way their characterization is done. It's a fictional show where the writer is telling her story. This is not a show from where people should take a moral lesson. Asad is not teaching his male viewers to slap a woman nor Zoya is passing the message of easy forgiveness.
