This was perfect cause it goes in synch with the scene where Asad is making her sleep on his shoulder...Zoya has always felt an emptiness in her life but she keeps it to herself...and today when this guy who showed such compassion to her..it really touched her..She feels blessed that someone thinks of her as this important. He risked his own life for her...and thats why such lyrics..

Next they skipped to

jo hamesha gumshuda the chand tare,
tune gardisho ki, lai badal di
laut aaye, aaj saare
o saiyyan

This was also beautiful as this is time Zoya is remembring how he saved her, the way he kissed her on forehead, his concern, all this has stunned her...I don't think here saiyaan means the real one...it was just a way to address him..

Then the next para was the Zindagi one which was again a representation of how this sudden turn of events has brought a change in both of them...especially her...She was trying to gulp all these new changes down her throat which i guess went really well with the way she was drinking water in that scene...😳

I see where you're coming from mate ... and I may have been a lil too quick to dismiss the song altogether but some parts didnt sit well with me. For example :

"Tu ne chua aaj aise ... mai kya se kya ban gayi "

If this line was used on them AFTER Asad / Zoya shared some 3-4 more similar moments, it would have made more sense. Eik baar kandhe pe sonay diya aur khatun kya se kya ban gayi ? Badi jaldi hai Zoya ko KYA se KYA banne ko 😆. TU toh mujhe jaanti hai, over the top and exaggerated "LOWE" was never my thing. And it especially ticks me off that such a beautifully poignant moment is ruined by lyrics that supercede the actual situation by miles. Zoya and Asad aren't there yet, jahan, unpe aise direct statements (Zoya ka "Kya se kya banna") use kiya jaa sake.

I just wish these production ppl would be a lil more subtle with the songs. Instead of

"OMG dekho dekho, Ladke ne ladki ko jhappi di, thoday din baad pappiyyaan bhi dega !! OMG LOUUU IS IN THE AIIIRRR !! 🤪 "

I liked the next para quite a bit ..

I guess the whole chuna part was there cause of the shoulder thing..and its a bollywood song so it can't suit every scene ekdum perfectly...all they look for is the closest match...maaf karde inn bechare CV's ko😆
