Chapter 14

'Good morning Zoya! All three chorused as she came down for breakfast.

'uhh Good morning' she replied with a smile, slightly confused.

'Kya hua Zoya. You look worried.'

'Woh Phupi I was thinking , I spoke to Jeeju and Aapi about everything. I told them not to worry and that I'm fine but in a week's time my visa is expiring.. aur''

'Forget all this Zoya. Don't worry. Asad will help you sort it out. He knows about those things. I have already mentioned to him. Maybe with the help of an employment letter at Dilshad Constructions. Not to worry.' Phupi said, reassuring her while patting her on the shoulder.

'Thank you soo much Phupi!!!'

Zoya saw Asad on the phone talking secretly and found it suspicious. From what she heard, he was calling out the address of the house. Hmmm. She went closer to him and peeked at him when suddenly he turned to face her and ended the call.

'Zoya, what are you doing?'

'Uhhh Kuch nahi!!!!' she stammered. Asad seemed to be nervous, was he hiding something?

But she decided not to think of it, remembering how she had inferred wrongly after overhearing him on the phone before.

Dilshad witnessed this and then distracted Zoya, after Asad made her a signal.

'Come sit!' Phupi said as she motioned towards Asad's usual seat.

'Phupi that's Asad's seat!' she replied and went towards her usual spot.

'Not today' chimed in Asad's voice as he came out from the kitchen with his special coffee mug.

They made Zoya sit and Asad held the mug, offering it to Zoya.

'I made it myself. Just the way you like it. Milk and sugar.' He said with a genuine smile as Najma coaxed him to speak.

'Allah miyan! What's wrong with you, Mr Khan? Are you feeling okay?' Zoya asked as she stood up, placing a hand on Asad's neck and forehead for emphasis.

Dilshad laughed while Asad looked slightly annoyed.

' Okay okay I'm sorry!' she said and sat down.

'Ek aur surprise Zoya!' Najma sang when the doorbell rang.

She craned her neck to see what Najma was referring to as Asad opened the door and spoke to someone,paid a bill apparently and collected something in a box. He turned around, leaving the door open and came towards the table to a stunned and bewildered Zoya.

'What's in that?' she asked.

All began laughing. 'Arrey Zoya , tum bhi na! What else would there be in a pizza box?' her Phupi replied as she laughed at Zoya's childishness.

'Nahi! Mr Khan buying pizza? Woh bhi at breakfast time? Whats wrong with all of you? Ya Allah!'

'Haan Zoya. Aap ke liye.' He said.

'Theek kaha aapne. We planned this surprise breakfast for you Zoya.Yaad hai, when you first came to our home, you wanted to sit in Asad's chair?' Dilshad continued.

'And your habit of eating stale pizza for breakfast? Well that's a bit unhygienic and anyways bhaijan wouldn't have bent so much but still, fresh pizza is better than none right?'

'Why are you all doing all this? There's no need for..' Zoya started but her Phupi cut her off.

'This is just our way, Zoya, of showing you that you are one of us. A part of our family. And we love you very much. And after all you've been through, you deserve happiness. I know that you might be thinking of going back to New York but don't think of youself as a burden to us. You stay here as long as you want, whenever you want. Kyon ki this is your home too.'

Zoya's vision was clouded as tears formed in her eyes. She hugged Dilshad tightly as her tears trickled down. 'I'm not going anywhere, Phupi. I love you!!!!'

Dilshad felt so warm as she heard these words. She pulled out of the embrace and wiped Zoya's tears. Both smiled at each other and Dilshad kissed her cheek.

Asad felt his heart swell at the scene before him. Zoya looked towards him and say the smile playing on his lips. She gratefully smiled back.

'Acha theek hai. Enough of all this emotional drama. Abb pizza time!!!!!!!' Zoya cheered.

All sat to enjoy their breakfast.

Zoya noticed Asad's hesitance to eating the pizza.

'Woh' you don't have to eat this pizza if you don't want to. We can eat normal Indian food.' Zoya said looking at Asad, who was seated to her right.

'Nahi we're all fine eating pizza' Najma chirped.

'Asad''

'Arrey Zoya, don't worry about Asad. This was all his idea na, so he is bound to eat!' Asad got red.

'Bhaijan look at your face. Now you are 'Tamatar'!!' his sister said through her muffled laughter.

Asad was embarrassed and eat piece of the pizza before they could bug him even more.

'KYAA. This was Your Bhaijan's idea!' blurted out Zoya, in full dramatic style. She pinched herself while Najma and Dilshad giggled. 'Allah miyan! Yeh Mr Bond ko kya hua?

'If all your drama is over, can you eat please, Ms Dramebaaz. The food will get cold' Asad said in a half serious and half amused voice.

'Dramebaaz? Hmph! Main dramebaaz nahin hoon! ' she pouted cutely before picking up her coffee.

'MMM. Wah! Kya coffee hai!

Isee baat pe ek sher arz hai

Pehli baar tum meri coffee jaise aapne aap se banaya, black and bitter

Aur abb Jahanpana six packs has learnt to be like milk and sugar!

Shukryia, shukriya'

Asad shook his head at her while she beamed and flashed her dimple at him. He admired her smile but caught hold of himself before he could launch into an intense staring session with Zoya.

The happy family had their breakfast together. They made jokes, Zoya obviously said her shayari. Asad piped into the conversation from time to time when he was not sneaking glances at Zoya. This appeared to be the new routine at the Khan's residence. Two days after, it was the still the same. What a heartwarming scene to the two visitors at the door.

hey guys i know this is a bit shorter but felt the need to end it with the entrance of 'the 2 visitors' Any guesses who it could be?????????😆😆 Tried to add in a shayari, a bit lame , first time try but hey, i triedLOL Anyways hope you enjoyed reading, leave comments please😉 PMs sent later. hahaa thanks🤗 and yess i always wanted to see a scene like this where she is beign pampered so thought to include it in my FF😆 and huh, school starts tmrw, so if things go well and i dont have much to do, then early this week, if not by the weekend. n yarr sure thing i will pm you😊
