He does not realize his love yet. But he knows for sure that he has behaved in a manner which breaks the rules he had set for himself years ago. He is subconsciously out to nip it in the bud- whatever that 'it' is. I think we're now going to see an internal battle: his feelings continue to grow to the point of 'love' while he fights a failing battle in suppressing, hiding and spurning them. In focusing on himself so much, he is about to make Zoya feel rejected and hurt, I think.

You know how Asad is Shaz..
This man has always believed that love is not made for him.
Today when he felt that he had lost Zoya for a minute his vulnerable side came into being and he felt scared of losing her.His concern for her must have definitely shook him inside out.It was not everyday that he felt so strongly for a girl and that too a girl Zoya.
It was quite natural for him to shut down his feelings before they start to bloom.
But I hope on watching Zoe infront of his eyes again and again,all his attempts to stop the voice of his heart would go in vain.
Finally something changed in his heart for Zoya.I hope he may soon realize that he has started falling for her.

For Asad...being in luv is something that isn't true in this world...that is y he's confused about zoya affecting her so much

I know we don't like the rushed romance but there might be an explanation, though not the most ideal one. I know we wanted long talks, apologies and repentance, and uninterrupted attraction before love but I guess the creatives want to have it another way. Their goal seems to be to present a poetic, drastic love story rather than a practical one.

From their point of view, let's put it this way: He half fell in love at first sight when he beheld her at the dargah. He fell into the remaining half unknowingly, while at war with her-getting used to her, her mess, her chatter, her interference. It's more of a 'meant to be' wala love rather than the 'samajh mein aaya kyun love hua' wala love. In their case, I think understanding will come after love. If understanding comes before, then there is no need for divorce, miscommunication and all the masala that will prolong the story.

I'm not saying I support their way of story telling...just giving an explanation...

Edit to add: there is also the fact that Asad has never been close to any female at all other than his mom and sis. He doesn't know what it's like. He doesn't have any bench mark for comparison. As a man, it's natural to feel a little something for the first woman he interacts with. Sorta like the reason why arranged marriages worked in olden days between a man and a woman who never met...well, coz they never met anyone else either.😆 But I'm sure this is not what the creatives are showing. They just wanna show the poetic wala, destiny wala love, reason or no reason.
