Despite my harsh criticism of the mahasangram episode, if you compare to other shows, I believe this show does deserve more attention. If you look at the shows that are currently in the Top 10 most of them are family dramas focused on the conflicts that exist between the mother-in-law and daughter-in-law. The families are traditional and the romance between the couples (this is going to upset a lot of people here if you watch those shows) stale.
There is a lot more magic beteween Asad and Zoya; their characters are far more interesting. Even Ayaan and Humaira have had more dialogue than the married couples I have seen on a few of these shows.
An effort has been made by the PH to veer away from these traditional shows. Plus, as a Muslim I am biased here and am glad to see that finally after three-four years of watching dramas we see Muslim characters as main leads. So yes, this show is deserving - thus far - of getting higher ratings.
