Chapter Two: The CORRECT way to bake a cake
If one wishes to bake a cake then one should adhere to it and make sure that nothing is out of place. One should always keep clean: keep hair and jewellery hidden, one should not leave it out in case of hygiene problems. One should keep their eyes, nose, mouth (maybe not mouth), and ears open when baking a cake in case mistakenly a CD is inside the mixture.
If one does not know the recipe for Chocolate Cake:
Ingredients (for cake)
225g plain flour
350g caster sugar
85g cocoa powder
1 and half tsp baking powder
1 and half tsp bicarbonate of soda
2 eggs
250ml milk
250ml water
Ingredients (for chocolate icing)
200g plain chocolate
200ml double cream
Method
- Preheat Oven to 180 degrees Celsius. (One should be wary of the dangers of the oven, when baking one should use correct protection uniform: the apron and oven gloves.)
- Mix all the cake ingredients except water into large mixing bowl. Use whisk to beat the mixture until smooth. (When one is mixing, one should take care in making sure that the mixture does not spill anywhere. Flour should not be on anywhere but the bowl. If it is spilled, then one should quickly clean it using towel or Kleenex tissues).
- Add water to the mixture, little at a time, and mix until smooth. (Do not put all the water at once and this may mean it will spill. Remembering: making a mess is NOT acceptable!)
- Place mixture into the cake tin and bake in oven for about 25-35 minutes. (When doing this, make sure that one is only putting cake mixture into the tin, please also make sure for any CD's hiding in the mixture and it will make it difficult to cut the cake).
- For chocolate icing, melt chocolate with cream until smooth and only put it on the cake when the cake is cool. (One should make sure the chocolate sauce is placed in the kitchen as that is where it should be. One should not leave chocolate sauce lying about when one can accidently put their fingers in it!)
It is simply not acceptable!
