Thanks Shaz and here's trying to look at it differently. Just my POV:

Asad and Zoe are not their normal selves in front of each-other. The calm, well-bred , quiet , gentlemanly Asad becomes a judgmental boar when it comes to Zoe. He screams at her , threatens her, corners her, goes out of his way for her. Similarly, Zoe becomes ultra bratty, unreasonable and feisty with him. Asad does it because she evokes 'feelings' in him. Zoe does it because she craves his attention.

Sometimes, we behave out of sync of our own personas when something/someone evokes unsettled sides in us. 😆

Thanks Dona. I don't know if we can arrive on a definite answer for this one. Can you sacrifice one love to make the other love happy?😕🤔

Cool. To me, this scene that I linked is pure aggression and totally unacceptable.

I'll even say that today's arm twisting was unwarranted-it was aggressive. What I'm not convinced about as being aggression is his threat and holding her by the neck-. I don't know, I just found it comical when I first saw it. It reminded me of when we scare little kids about the red-eyed monster to get them to have milk 😕

The other thread where a discussion is going on about how aggressive his behavior was is also very convincing. I'm on the fence. Oh well. Remains to be seen where the CVs take this.

Understand where you are coming from but, I am selfish. So, to Asad, I say be selfish. Do what you desire. Sacrifice for none. i.e. do not give away Zoya to see Ayaan happy.

I understand intensity as I am subjected to an interiorly form of it on a daily basis but never have I held someone's life hostage by their neck to express it. I am a female so you may say I am not characteristic to behave like that. Having said that, I also know that I would indeed not fall for anyone who twists my arm and threatens to choke me by gripping my neck. Asad is all things sexist. He's a good man but he's ideologies somewhere consider a woman a second-grade human he can overpower by muscle and mind, the latter as he believes he's got in plenty, more than anybody else. He thinks too highly of himself. I would really like the writers to help him overcome being so full of himself. We need heroes like him because yes, guys with that great a body and those fine cheekbones and everything under their control are like this. But they have to get back down on earth, dun they? So basically, Zoya sees Bond in him and I see a potential role model if they amend his character well.

Also, the only reason I enjoyed the Asad-Zoya scene was because it was lousily funny. I like an entertainment at times. Mindless and harmless, y'know? I like Zoya these days. The actress is beautiful and playing her part gracefully.

Sure, Asad will sacrifice all for Ayaan. True that. The punch of this post, yes. 😳

Well said. We are in the 21st century. Grabbing people and twisting their arms and grabbing their necks are not needed to show strength. Poor direction on Gul Khan's part.
