"When my eyes meet his gaze as we're sitting here staring at each other, time stops. Those eyes are piercing mine, and I can swear at this moment he senses the real me. The one without the attitude, without the faade."
Simone Elkeles, Perfect Chemistry

4 Lions has this permanent formula for making couples fall in love; they make the lead couple 'fall'. A lot.
Flying dupattas and curtains, tones of eye locks, melodious background music and most importantly, falling into each other's arms, which tends to elaborately explain the phrase of 'falling in love'. It works for us most of the times, because despite our rational thinking and gravity obeying lives, we do like to stare at people, who are staring at each other onscreen.
We like to see them defy gravity and physics and watch the girl fall into the guy's arms from various angles and in various circumstances (that's where the creative team walks in. They make each fall look like a different one) and even though it's filmy and been done so many times, we still watch them fall and fall into each other until they 'fall' in love.
I'm not trying to be sarcastic or hurt anyone's sentiments here.
I just wonder why, despite having watched these kinds of shows for so many years, and despite having scored a perfect 100 in Physics; I still gape at the screen like an idiot when people 'fall' in love. I wonder why I fall for it every time.
Or is it just the magic of Asad and Zoya this time?
