Heartbeat's fast, colors and promises

How to be brave? How can I love when I'm afraid to fall.

I could hear the Priest reading out sacred phrases from the bible. They sounded so pure, so heavenly. I sighed and saw her walk down the aisle, arm in arm with her father.

Watching you stand alone,

All of my doubt suddenly goes away somehow.

I could see her beautiful smile through the thin material of the veil that gracefully hid her face from my eyes. I held it up to see my bride smiling a shy smile.

One step closer..

I wish I could go back on my word. I wish I could tell her that she was just a friend and nothing else. I wish I could tell her how much I loved someone else. I wish life wasn't this complicated.

I have died everyday waiting for you,

As the Priest asked me whether I took her as my lawfully wedded wife, I gulped. An honest answer would ruin everything. But I had to do this! Because this is what I decided upon.

Time stands still. Beauty in all she is.

As I mumbled in a soft voice 'I do', I hear cheers across the lawn and hear her repeat the same. The Priest asks us to seal this ceremony with a kiss. As I bend closer and place my lips on hers, I see 'her' on the stage behind us. Gripping the guitar in her tiny fists and tears streaming her face, she sang the song the song in her beautiful voice.

I broke the kiss softly and looked at Sia, my wife of a few minutes. Then I gazed back at her as I saw betrayal on her face. In spite of the hurt I gave her, I couldn't help myself but say in a mere whisper, 'I love you Zoya.' And almost like she had heard me, she shut her eyes and I read her lip movements which said, 'I love you Asad.'
