Disha to quit Pyaar Ka Dard Hai!

Sources say that Disha Parmar aka Pankhuri of Pyaar Ka Dard Hai has decided to quit the show. "Disha is unhappy with the way her role is shaping up. She has conveyed that to the team and discussions are on. Efforts are being made to convince Disha to stay back, if not they will kill Pankhuri. Currently, there is a threat to Aditya's (Nakuul Mehta) life, but it will be Pankhuri who will die." Disha has taken a break to visit her hometown Delhi. When contacted, she said, "I don't want to comment on it."
A few months ago, there was a similar problem with Mansi Salvi who plays Avantika in the serial. The actress felt that her role had run its course and put in her papers. The makers were even looking for her replacement. However, a month later she was back in the show saying they had sorted out the issues.
Incidentally, Pyaar Ka Dard Hai is Disha's debut TV show. She was a class 12 student when she got an offer to play the lead role in the Rajshri serial. She gave up her studies to be a part of this show.

Shocked but not surprised. Disha is right. Pankhuri's character has been limited to a statue in this track and all she has been shown to do is save the family and be an inspector for the Deewans. Pankhuri's character can be developed...show her going back to her studies, show her working creating her own venture and if all that fails...why not make PaYa parents? It will show a PaYa centric track and give Disha something different.

This was on the cards. Everybody could see it coming. A few days back I made a post called " this show must End now". Feel sorry for Disha. She deserved a lot more from the show. Nevertheless she will always be our very own and very sweet Pankhu. But if Pankhuri dies, what will be left in the story? Let's hope CVs wake up from their slumber and sort it out very soon as they did for Manasi Salvi.

Why am I not surprised? This show has been going downhill for sometime. The CV's cant seem to think outside the conspiracy box. Lets hope they wake up now!

After watching yesterday's episode I have got a gut feeling that some solution might have worked out. Since Dadaji brought out the truth about Vikram's adoption, it opens up an opportunity to bring Pankhuri to the fore front once more and the Vikram track can be ended in such a way that Pankhuri can join the business. One popular SP show has followed this track when the male lead went to coma and his wife (the female lead) headed the business for some time. Adi can be injured in an attack and Pankhu can join the business. That can be a solution. Let's hope for the best.

I agree with this suggestion. I feel terribly bad for Disha. For all I know, once she leaves the show, it will go down the drain.

If she is not happy with the quality of the content, then she is well within her rights to quit the show for her satisfaction..

But not getting meaty content is not a good/valid reason for leaving a show... One should realize that PKDH has many characters played by good actors and many open tracks (Preeti/Sameer, Varun/Kaira, Rubel/Payal, Avantika/Harish)... Just concentrating on Adi-Pankhuri will get the show boring and it will also be unfair for all the supporting actors...

Yes the current track doesn't have a meaty content for the character of Pankhuri but that doesn't harm the popularity of the character...And in my view in order to maintain the freshness of the character it is necessary that not every track in the show must involve Pankhuri in it. I personally believe that when a show runs 24x7 on TV it is better to give protagonists a little break and concentrate on other characters as well... None of the supporting cast of the show has left the show till now because everyone of them has got a fair share of their role...

But rest is her decision..after all its her career..
