Avantika and anuj

I wonder why did avantika said that anuj is strength of her and family? I have been noticing from recent episodes that avantika and preeti loved their brother but its very hard to believe and what caused it so sudden because since when the show aired, avantika has always suppressed anuj and some extent preeti too. I remember many scenes where avantika dominated anuj in all matters even though anuj hadn't done anything wrong and unusual.What a great U-turn!!!
