Ok folks here goes today's update/analysis.
Episode starts with Nana telling Adi that this is Pankhudi's first birthday away from her family so he should make it special for her. Harish calls him Romeo as usual and repeats what Nana said. Basically the first Romeo who needs to be spoon-fed tips on Romance every five minutes. Looks like Nana and Harish are wooing Pankhu by proxy. Nana then suggests that since he is whisking away the entire family to Shirdi, Adi should plan his surprise party there instead of home.
Cut to Adi going in to work and Rubel as usual trying to take his case for being absent due to personal issues (umm dude, he was saving your sister, and if you scratch your knee, that dysfunctional brain might tell you that in the long run, Manan would eat up more of the moolah you dream of inheriting than anyone else). Adi as usual tells him that the Project Report he wants would be ready before due date, so Rubel wants it like yesterday. (Please stop using the words Project Report -CVs. Only people who submit these without working on any projects are school students. It doesn't sound professional, it sounds retarded)
Rubel then says that the time has come to take a few harsh decisions and Anuj gives him a funny look and says yes the time has come. If Rubel had eyes at the back of his head he should fix his butt to that chair with QuickFix, looks like he's going to be out on his ass very soon.
Nana and Harish in a car and Harish starts singing, Nana says that if people don't know the lyrics then they should not have the impudence to sing, so Harish asks him to sing, and Nana sings. Harish pulls his leg that people should not sing if they can't hold a tune. Harish tells Nana he understands that Nana is tensed about Kaira but the only thing to be done now is that everyone should behave normally with her so that she doesn't feel that she's gone through some great tragedy. Nana says that he's worried, she might start taking drugs again, and Harish says in that case make sure someone is always around her all the time.
Meanwhile in Kullu Naman and his parents apologize to Neha for misunderstanding her and Naman says sorry to his parents. Family hug-time.
Rubel and Latika in some hotel room and Latika asks Rubel for something and he replies rudely. She tells him that he should not be rude to her since she's pregnant. And Rubel is like, what's that got to do with me; my only interest in that kid you are carrying is that it might help me get the property; otherwise I'm least bothered. You go do shopping or whatever. Then he calls room-service and orders a pizza for himself without bothering about Latika.
Meanwhile at work all leave and Adi is still working, he gets a call from his friend Bunny, who's inviting him to a party. Adi refuses saying that it is his wife's birthday, so he can't come. Finally Ranbir shows his front. He's like Dude what happened to you, marriage and wife and all. Anyway, the upshot is Ranbir ends up going to Adi's house to pick up Pankhudi. He tells her that Adi Sir has sent him since he was held up at office. Pankhu thinks it is a driver so she's like, ok wait, let me get my stuff.
In the car Ranbir tries to flirt with Pankhu saying that she is very pretty and she should be gratified that Bunny is complimenting her, because Bunny never says nice things to people. Pankhusdi tells him that he should not do Badtameezi. Ranbir responds that Badtameezi makes life interesting and people should try it outside marriage. Pankhu gets irritated and asks Bunny to take her to Adi ASAP because she can't tolerate Bunny anymore.
Adi has decorated the Diwan mansion with lights and all, and Pankhu asks Bunny that he told her Adi was in office so why has he brought her here and Bunny tells her to wait and watch. Inside Adi is waiting for them and he hugs Bunny and all. Pankhu is looking at these two guys with amazement (Right dear, they forgot to make formal introductions, no one seems to have any civic sense)
In any case, she gathers that Bunny is a pal of Adi's and she says sorry to him for being rude in the car. Bunny says that it's ok and if he had not teased her then the trip would've been very boring. (No apologies from Bunny on acting fresh with her?)
Adi asks Bunny to stay back and enjoy the evening with them and Bunny is like no it's your special evening so make the most of it. (Adi needs to be clobbered on the head every 5 minutes that his wife is not equal to Shanky; though can't blame him much that is the role Pankhu has been aspiring for ever since she entered Diwan Mansion) Bunny leaves after dancing on Badtameezi with Adi. (Both were equally good)
Adi then leads Pankhu to where he's made arrangements and Pankhu is touched and she says Thank You and Adi is like now say Sorry, 'coz we had decided we will not be formal with each other; so Pankhu gives him a peck on his cheeks and Adi is like if this is your style of saying Sorry then I don't mind.
He then tells her he has a surprise for her and shows her the video clip of Harish, Nana and Preeti maasi wishing her (We missed Avantika throughout the episode). Pankhu is teary-eyed and Adi says he has another surprise for her. Episode ends.
My analysis
Basically a filler episode - no Sheela Mami, no Avantika, and one actually felt sorry for Latika. Must say Rubel conceptualization is excellent - he is a masterpiece, no brains, all bluster and bombast.
Since the episode was about promoting YHJHD they should've spent some more time on it. Ranbir was very awkward in dubbing for TV, his voice lacked that emotive quality. In any case if they want to promote movies as integral part of serials they should take care that the cine-actors do not seem to be forced.
On the other hand - I'm sure the first thing they do when actors come to shoot is put Adi and Rubel in front of one camera and have them mouth-off something that looks like confrontation while the rest of the cast is putting on their makeup. It's the same stock lines and dialogs, only change is the clothes of the day.
Word to the Wise
On the other hand - even if it is Ranbir Kapoor offering to chauffeur you around - girls, please don't jump into any car with an unknown person.
When you open the door to a stranger, please don't leave the door open and give the stranger free run of the house, while you go inside to fetch something.
If the driver tries to flirt with you, call the police immediately and try and get this man to stop the car.
Don't be so distracted in the car that you don't know where you are being taken. Always keep an eye out on the road. Tell the driver to change the route, firmly.

My analysis
