In a writing, " Kabyer Upekshita",Tagore wrote that many characters
have been overlooked in our epics. In Ramayana, we know about
Laxman as brother and Devar, but we know almost nothing
about his wife Urmila.
In PKDH, a similar character is Vedika.
A lot of discussion about other characters including Geeta.
But we know very little about Vedika.
She was married to a guy from a respectable family.
A marriage is a relation between two families.
Problem between two families were never mentioned.
But relation between two soul were never established.
We are concerned so much for Preeti, that we also
overlooked Vedika. Only " DARD " and no " PYAAR "
for Vedika.
Let us think ourselves in the shoe of Vedika.
P.S.: one song is embedded, which, I think
represents Vedika's mental condition.
