"Dear Aunty
By the time you will be reading this letter, I would have been gone far away from you. I never got the opportunity to speak my mind to you. You never had the time. Today in my first and last letter to you I only want to say that I never wanted to take your son away from you. I know you live for him. This family meant a lot to me. It was above everything else. Had I gone with him, I should have hurt you and Nanaji. No matter how much you hate me, you have never done any herm to me, you never wanted anything wrong to happen to me. I still have respect for you and it will always remain so. If I were his friend only I would have done whatever you wanted me to do, lekin aunty un saat phero ko kaise bhool jaoon jo main ne unke sath liye the?. Ek Ma or ek patni hone ke nate aap se sirf itna hi umeed karti hoon is chutki bhar sindoor ka mol up samjhenge."
Tears were pouring down Avantika's chicks, she had never cried this much, not even on the day when she lost her mother, not even on the day when she left Harish. She didn't know why but today her tears seemed to know no stopping.

Pursottam looked at those kangans. Suddenly he felt enormous pain in his chest. He stumbled to the floor and somehow crawled his way to the cupboard and managed to put one peel under his tongue, he sat there with the letter in his hands, everything was becoming blurred in front of his eyes.

Main kahin bhi rahoon jis din aap dono phir se ek ho gayenge, mujhe bohot khusi hogi. Us din suraj ki pehli kiran mujhe yeh sendesha degi mera koushish bekar nehi gayee. Baas ek binti hain aapse papa, unhe aapne seeney se laga ke rakhiyega or mera baat yaad dilake unhe doohk nahi digiyega". Harish broke down into tears; he could not read the rest of the letter. All his life he had made people laugh, today he could only cry.

Avantika woke up with the knock at the door. "Mom I have got the project. You know Mom it was really tough. Our competitors didn't leave an inch, but finally everybody liked my presentation, particularly the statistics I have furnished. Wow Mom, I am so happy. This is my first major success for our company".
A week has passed after the 15 days separation has completed. Pankhuri has gone back to kullu 6 days ago. She left very early in the morning. She didn't even wait for the sun to rise. She didn't want to face him.
"Congrats beta. I think you deserve a break. Take a few days leave and go for an outing".
"You were crying Mom?... Had Dad called up?"
"No beta, I was thinking about you"
"About me!! I didn't get you Mom"
" Beta don't let you life be like mine. Please forgive me beta, I was wrong, very very wrong, I always misunderstood her. Bring her back beta, else I will never be able to forgive myself".
"Mom... Let's not talk about this... I'm so tired Mom... I'm going to my room"
"Adiii... she holds his hand, beta throughout my life I have never asked for anything from you, Please beta, aapni maa ki aakhri kwaish samaz kar hi ise pura kar do". Once more she broke into tears. Finally the mother in her had won over the angry snobbish Avantika.
"Mom... Aditya looked towards her in sheer disbelief, he had never seen his mother this much helpless. O.K. Mom. I'll go... but only for you Mom"
Aditya could not sleep the entire night. Memories from the past kept coming back to his mind. The first time he went to kullu, his first glimpse of Pankhuri hiding behind the curtain, their first meeting, the night when he saved her from her boss, the night when he said "will you marry me Pankhuri" while proposing to Latika, the night they had to spend in the hotel, the moment when Pankhuri saved him from the false allegation of Latika and her mother, the moment when he put sindoor on her forehead, the karwa-chowth night, the moment when he admitted openly that he married Pankhuri at his own will, the moment they took up the 15 day challenge thrown by Avantika, the evening when Pankhuri refused to leave Diwan Mansion with him. Suddenly the alarm rang. He had to get up. He had to catch the early morning flight to kulu, since it was the only one that goes directly from Mumbai to KULLU. He noticed his pillow was very wet.

The whole Gupta family was at the drawing room. Even Neha and her in-laws were there .Nobody was talking. They all woke up to the knock at the door. Aditya!!!! Dadaji could not believe his own eyes. Govardhan pounced on Adi. He gave him the hardest slap he could "Abhi bhi chain nahi mila tujhko, kis liye aya hain eihan, nikal ja , abhi nikal ja"... he himself broke into tears and knelt down to Adi " main tera paoon pakar ta hoon, humain baksh dey, jine dey humme". Adi was shocked he didn't knew what to do. He knelt down to Govardhan but could not say anything. Dadaji advanced to Adi, "tum kyun aye ho Aditya?" "Dadaji main Pankhuri ko lene aya hoon. Mujh se bohot bari galti ho gayee Dadaji, Please mujhe maaf kar dijiye". "mujhe tumse koye sikayat nahi beta..." "Keya main Pankhuri se mil sakta hoon Dadaji" "nahi" Cried everybody in an angry tone "Please Dadaji, ...Please" said Aditya, holding the knees of Dadaji " Thik hain beta jao, upar uske kamre main jaake milo" "Nahin Bawji, Yeh Pankhuri se nahi milega". Protested everybody " ye ek pati ka adhikar hain, hum ise rok nahi sakte" said Dadaji
Aditya went upstairs. Pankhuri was sleeping. She was looking like a princess. Her face seemed to have all the peace in the world. "pankhuri" called aditya, she didn't woke up. Adi affectionately touched her chick, her head fall aside. Her pillow was drenched with blood. The back of her head was almost smashed. She was dead. "No... screamed Aditya, he ran out of the room... Dadaji... Pankhuri...""Kal sham ko Krishna Mandir gayee thi, achanak land slide suru ho gayee aur meri beti..."Aditya knelt down to the floor. All the way he has been thinking how he should apologise to her and take her back to Diwan Mansion and start their new life, but it was too late.
