He is thinking practically, and practically yes, him and Pankuri are completely different on the outside lifestyle family background wise whereas him and Latika are similar. So from his point of view it would be easier. He doesn't have the role models that can show him how to chose from the heart, only to chose practically.
I'm waiting to see when he realizes that he really does like pankuri more than Latika!
