Siddharth was alive. How could this be possible? I saw Abhay stake him with my own eyes. Abhay killed him, hadn't he? If Sid was alive that meant Abhay had missed his heart. What if Sid had gotten to Abhay first? Dread filled my insides when I thought of Abhay. I prayed to anybody who could hear me right now to keep Abhay safe. He was all alone outside and heavens forbid, had Sid got hold of him before he got to me? But why had Sid taken me captive? He should have killed me by now. He did have his chance. If he had killed Abhay then he wouldn't have brought me here, wherever this place was. A tiny ray of hope seeped through me as this thought struck me but that meant he would now be after Abhay? I had to get to him. I would not let Sid harm him.

I tried to move but my hands and legs were tightly bound. I could hear the clink of metal and I assumed I had been chained. I tried to pull at it but the cuffs slashed at my wrists piercing the skin. Sid was clever enough to get cuffs that had metallic spikes inside that would hurt if someone tried to break free. I wanted to scream but only a muffled cry came out. He had tied my mouth with a tape. Damn him!

Just then I heard the sound of a door opening and lights being turned on. Momentarily I was blinded by the light but then my eyes began to focus and the familiar smell hit my nostrils. I wish I could gag but found that next to impossible now. Slowly my vision became steady for me and there he was smirking away as usual. I wish I could free myself and complete Abhay's unfinished task but I was helpless right now. With a single swift stroke he pulled out the tape and it stung for a moment and then I was screaming on top of my lungs while he stood there looking amused.

"Let go of me, you leech," I shouted at him.

"You're nothing but a coward. Well what else can you expect out of a bloodsucker?" I spat at him while he shook his ear frowning.

"Ouch, that hurts. Sweetheart my sense of hearing is million folds better than yours. You don't need to wear your lungs out to get your point across when I can very well hear your heartbeat."

In a second he crossed the distance between us and I felt his cold icy breath caress my face. He slowly traced his nail across my cheek while I cringed and then moved down to my throat and it lingered there for a while and his eyes turned the shade of crimson red.

"I can hear the rhythm of your heartbeat. Just like a tap dance," he breathed against my skin making me shiver both in cold and fear. I could feel the graze of something sharp against my skin on my neck. Would he drain me dry? I struggled hard but that only cut my skin deeper making me bite my lips as I didn't want to give him the pleasure of seeing me in pain.

"Your blood! It's intoxicating," he said in a sing song and before I could do or say anything, his fangs pierced my skin and an excruciating pain ran down my body paralysing me. I tried to throw him off me but he was much too strong for me and I was chained. So this was how I was going to die? Without even getting a chance to fight back? Just when I thought he would finish me then there, he broke free and wiped his mouth with the back of his hand and a drop of blood dribbled down his fang which he caught with his finger and he licked it.

"Not so soon darling! I just wanted a taste. Besides I have better plans for you," he said with an evil glint in his eye.
