Chapter 4

Pia opened her eyes hearing Kantaben's frantic cries to her asking her to get up and shaking her up. When she saw Pia opening her eyes, Kantaben launched into a fast monologue: "Madam, you scared me. What happened to you? Oh of course, how silly of me? I should have understood right away when you wanted to stay in a kids' room. Of course, you have been married for a month now. But madam, how could your husband let you leave all by yourself in this condition? Or does he not know about it? No no madam, you must not hide these things. And a lady needs her husband to be around her in this condition. You must call him and ask him to join you right away"

Pia was too freaked out to comprehend or oppose what Kantaben had assumed. She ignored her and immediately called up T and asked if she could come there right at the moment. T assured her that she would be more than happy to welcome her and so Pia packed a small bag with her clothes and a few essentials, hired a cab and left for T's house in Juhu. She could not go to Misha's place as he was out for a conference and was to return only tomorrow. T was shocked to see Pia's state. Shock and panic was clearly written on her face. T exclaimed out: Pia, is everything ok? Are you alright? What happened? You look so pale and .. and.. scared!

Pia embraced T tightly and told her everything about the house she had felt and seen since she had arrived which left even T confused. Both the ladies went inside the house and started discussing what could all this mean. Pia was worried if she was suddenly developing some psychic qualities only in a backward manner in her case, where instead of future, she was seeing the past of the house. Pia was worried what will Abhay think of her but T assured her that he loves her too much for that. Late in the evening Jeh too arrived and he was happy to see Pia there. T decided not to tell anything to Jeh right now. They all had dinner together and in order to change the mood T suggested that they all watch a movie together. Jeh suggested that they watch some thriller as Pia loves watching such movies and usually is the first one to guess the suspense of any movie. T excitedly asked if Pia had seen her favourite suspense thriller "Kaun" but Pia replied in the negative, and so they decided to watch that movie. She challenged Pia that she would not be able to figure the plot till the end and Pia excitedly accepted the challenge.

They began to watch the movie and Pia was enjoying it a lot. Like T had challenged, she was actually unable to guess the plot of the movie and that made her like the movie even more. Finally the movie approached its climax and just when Manoj Bajpai turned a corpse and exclaimed "Mr. Malhotra" in shock and got stabbed the next instant, the scene in front of Pia's eyes changed and she was back in the house looking through the banisters down at the stairs where she witnessed her getting stabbed just when she had uttered the words "Mr. Malhotra" on phone. Pia screamed in shock and ran to her room and closed the door without bothering to lock it. She crashed down in fear and shock not knowing whether it was the bed or the floor that she crashed down onto.

Pia woke up next morning to the feel of a familiar soothing hand caressing her forehead. She opened her eyes and saw her Abhay looking down on her face with worry and concern written clearly on his face. She immediately got up and hugged Abhay tightly and started sobbing in his chest and muttering: Abhay, I am going mad Abhay. What's happening to me? First I thought that there was something wrong with the house, but now I know that something is wrong with me only. How else can one explain away last night?

"What happened last night Pia?" Abhay asked with concern. T had already informed all the other things that Pia had told her when she had decided to call him last night. Misha too was informed and she too had taken the night flight instead of her scheduled morning flight and so was also present in the room. They all wanted to know what had happened last night which had scared Pia so much.

Pia began telling them. She told them everything was going fine after she came here. She was actually enjoying the movie, but just when the climax came, she found it oddly familiar. She told them how she could see herself looking down the stairs through banisters where she saw her talking to someone on phone and just as she had said those words "Mr. Malhotra", someone stabbed her. Pia told them that there was too much blood everywhere and she saw her dead body falling on the ground.

Abhay asked her, "Who was she?" and Pia replied, "Maya!!"

Pia: Did I just say maya?? But.. I don't even know any Maya!!!

Sorry Guys, for a chotu update. Actually this was supposed to be included in last update itself, but i m extremely busy these days because of shifting to a new house, and so giving short updates. hope u guys don;t mind😳
