Pia could feel Abhay trying to move closer during the dinner, but he was careful to do so when she was not looking and so she could not really confront him about anything. As it is, his closeness was affecting her senses making her extremely uneasy to be able to speak coherently at all. Abhay suddenly passed her the dessert plate and insisted that she take some. She tried to refuse, but Abhay was not the one to hear no. He held her hand and made her pick up a piece of the cake. At his touch, Pia felt unknown shivers coursing through her body. There was a strange magnetism in his touch. It both scared as well as aroused her. She tried to remove her hand from his grip, but Abhay only tightened the grip further, which increased the sensation of fear inside her. Abhay's other hand joined in his mission of scaring Pia as it began stroking Pia's hand and making patterns on her arm. Pia's heart was beating frantically now. She has never been in contact of any man other than her father before and she has certainly not been touched this way ever. While fear was fast gripping her body to the extent of almost paralyzing her, somewhere deep inside, she was enjoying this new sensation. But, the faint realization of this excitement increased her fear even more. She was not scared not just of Abhay, but even herself.
But God seemed to have her well-being at heart and so just at the moment when Abhay's hands were travelling even upwards over her arm, the housemaid appeared to clear away the table. "Shall I take the dishes master? And maybe this young lady can help me clearing the table..." the housemaid spoke while keeping her head lowered, but Pia could not miss the tone of hint in her voice. She felt extremely grateful to her at the moment. But before she could say anything, it was Abhay who spoke in irritation, "She is our guest. Why don't you take the dishes yourself?" "No, that's ok. I would like to help. That's the least I can do in return of your hospitality..." Pia managed to find her voice and speak. "You can do much more than this to pay back Miss Pia..."Abhay muttered under his breath as Pia hastily began to move, but Pia managed to hear it nonetheless and once again she got scared as she tried to decipher the meaning behind these words.
After clearing the dishes, the housemaid took Pia to the guest room and while making her bed, spoke in urgent whisper, "Lock the door from inside the moment I leave. Come with me to the door when I leave and lock up instantly. Do not spend even a second in locking it and do not open it till morning till you hear my voice, no matter what happens! Got that?" Pia silently nodded her head while the fear in heart increased ten-fold. Why was the housemaid warning her to lock the room and keep it locked so sincerely? What would happen if she fails to lock the room? The bed made, the housemaid indicated Pia to follow her to the door and the moment she stepped out of the threshold, Pia immediately bolted the door from inside. No sooner had she stepped towards the bed when she felt the door handle moving. She turned back thinking that the housemaid must have forgotten something, but when she heard no voice, she got scared who could this be. She stepped towards the door and sensed that the person on the other hand was trying to open the door by force. This could not be the housemaid. Why would the housemaid try to use force to get the door opened? She stepped in fear as she realized there could be only one person on the other side of the door at the moment. A new fear gripped her. What if he manages to break open the door? What will he subject her to then? She shuddered in fear and fell on the bed. The fear was paralyzing her whole body while the force on the door was increasing. Any moment now, the door might give in throwing her completely at the mercy of Abhay who may not be feeling any merciful after this defiance of his will. But just when Pia thought that the door would break open, the force on the door suddenly stopped. She heard angry footsteps storming away from there and going upstairs. She finally let out the breath she had not realized she was holding till then. As the sound of the footsteps died away, she realized that her face was all wet from sweat and tears shed in fear. She wiped away her face and sat on the bed all curled up. She was too scared to sleep.
It was the loud banging on the door and an equally loud housemaid's voice which woke Pia up. She did not know when she had fallen asleep in her curled up position. She got up with a start and hearing the housemaid's voice again, got to the door and opened it. The housemaid took her for breakfast which passed uneventfully except for the fact that Abhay did not even looked in Pia's direction. Pia was confused whether to feel relived for this or scared. But there was something else she was feeling too; there was a bit of sadness that he did not look at her even once. It was as if she did not even exist. And that hurt, though that might be the truth. She was nobody, just a commoner; and he certainly belonged to the nobles. People like herself meant nothing to their class. She felt a strange pang of sadness at this thought. Then she realized she was getting all worked up for a near stranger. Things were getting out of hand, and before she lands herself in a bigger mess, it would be right if she leaves this place and reach her hostel. So mustering up some courage she spoke to Abhay, "Abhay, it's morning now, can you please drop me to my hostel now." "Why should I?" Abhay asked in a cold voice. "Because.. I don't know the way and you promised.." Pia almost pleaded. "Did I? I don't really remember." Abhay replied coldly. "Please Abhay, Please help me.." Pia begged now. "Alright!! But on one condition!!" Abhay stated his term. "Condition? What condition??" Pia asked, her fear now returning. "You will have to come to meet me again, whenever and wherever I ask you to!!" Abhay stated the condition flatly, while Pia looked at him with her mouth wide open not knowing what to do. "What??" was all that she could speak at the moment, shocked at Abhay's weird condition. "You heard right!! Take it or leave it, choice is yours. If you want me to drop you to the hostel, then you have to promise that you would come to meet me again whenever and wherever I want, else you can stay on here and keep relying on my housemaid's mercy whom I might fire off any moment." Pia had no option but to accept his condition. Staying on this house any longer would bring God knows what upon her and so she promised Abhay to meet him again.
Pia's POV:
Pia woke up again around dawn with the same dream. She was lost in the jungle and the handsome devilish Prince came to save her and next time she could feel his touch. His long fingers making patterns on the arms lightly as if her skin was silk and he was having fun doing that. It's been two weeks since Pia came to Demenshift. Abhay has dropped her as he promised. She can still remember his grip on her waist when they were riding on the horse. When he dropped her nearly before leaving he fiercely kissed her palm making her almost choke and said, "Until we meet again and this is just a beginning." His lips played a sly charming smile and she wanted to know what Abhay meant by "beginning" but he disappeared just like he arrived mysteriously. He was in her dreams, her thoughts and visions. He refused to leave her in these two weeks. Sisters were relieved and almost cried when they saw Pia back. They had assumed some wild animal has already made Pia their dinner. Pia thought in her mind, well it's almost true. Wasn't she actually scared of Abhay and wanted to leave the place more than anything? She was relieved so leave the place then why she is thinking of Abhay all the time? Perhaps it was his presence. His charming mysterious presence. In the short life span of Pia she has never been so thrilled. Yes that's what she felt. The Night with Abhay, in fact the whole time with Abhay was most unusual, thrilling, dangerous and mysterious event of her boring life limited to Demenshift. Pia was always adventurous and drawn towards the pine wood forest and finally she got at least some taste of the adventure and thrill she seek. The blue eyes almost piercing her, his fingers on his skin in na inappropriate way. Dangerously thrilling. She wondered will Abhay really come to see her again? Llike he promised? Pia told the whole story with some EDITING of her own only to Beatrix and Heather, her best friends and they were as thrilled as hers. They discussed so many times, all counts, barons and Princes are just like this. They seek pleasure in young girls and fancy them and next day they will forget them. Pia accepted with a sigh maybe Abhay forgot her too. At least he seemed from a affluent family and somebody rich. He must be somebody like that. Pia just accepted he has forgotten her. She was kind of sad about it!
Abhay's POV:
It has been two weeks since the day he has dropped her back to the hostel. Very unusual of him to let go of a pretty girl like that. He wanted her all right, but there was an innocence in her eyes which pulled at his heart. It was the first time he was thinking of a girl like this. That too a girl he could not even ravish. He frowned at his housemaid for her impertinence. Had it not been for her, he would have taken away her innocence that night. But then, did he really want to do that? Take away her innocence and then throw her away like he had done with numerous other girls before her? He wasn't sure. At one hand, he could not throw her image out of his head, and in his head, he had given liberty to his fantasies and seen her as not so innocent as his eyes had seen her. He wanted her badly. In his arms, in his bed, fulfilling all his desires. Yes she was too young, but this wild part of him really wanted to see how it would be to explore one so young and naive. But there was another part of him, which longed for her, not to give him company in bed, but just to see her and drown in her innocent baby brown eyes. There was a part of him that was attracted to the beautiful naive heart of that sweet young girl who had lost her way in the woods and had trusted him despite her misgivings. There was a part of him which wanted that trust to never break. She was so different from everything of his world. It was her innocence and simplicity that insanely attracted him to her. His life is surrounded by Glaze, wealth and royalty but there's no faith, love, innocence which he seeks. Did he really seek it and not the royalty he is stamped with from birth? Or is he being thoroughly irrational? The beautiful naive girl is just a adrenaline rush? Which one? Abhay didn't know. He was going insane, and he surely will go insane if he does not meet her soon. "Yes, time has come to keep your promise Pia!" Abhay said to himself and moved in the direction of her hostel.
