Part 6

Piya was sat in her car whilst her driver was waiting in the arrivals lounge for Siddharth. Feeling bored, she stepped out but after walking a few steps, she tripped and closed her eyes in fear waiting to hit the ground. However, a pair of hands caught her firmly around the waist preventing her from falling. She opened her eyes to find herself in the arms of a handsome stranger.

"You're not hurt are you, love?" he asked.

"No I'm fine," she said and he helped her straighten up.

"Hi, I'm Siddharth," he extended his hand. "And you're Piya, right?"

"Right," she smiled and took his hand.

"Thanks Piya for coming to receive me, that's very sweet of you." Siddharth said. "OK so let's get going."

The journey back home was quite enjoyable because Piya and Sid chatted all the way and became good friends. Piya found Sid a very good natured and fun loving person. She noticed he was a little flirty too but she knew his intentions were not bad. Once they arrived home, Sid introduced himself to everyone.

Madhu looked at him surprised, "Sid you have changed so much after growing up."

"But Aunty you're still young and beautiful like you were years ago," Sid said in response.

After having a pleasant dinner with the Dobriyals, Sid left for his hotel.

Raichand Empire

"What are you doing here?" Abhay asked Alina, who suddenly without informing arrived in Dehradun and came to his office one morning.

"Come back to me Abhay," Alina said.

"I will not," he said strictly. "Just go from here."

Alina got up to leave, "I have news for you. I have found the witch and she's in my custody right now. If you want to come back to me then come to Poison Ivy tonight."

She left knowing that he had no other option now. Abhay immediately called Mahesh on his phone, "How did Alina reach to her first?"

"I don't know," Mahesh answered. "I kept misleading her but I think she had others on this job too."

Abhay cut the call angrily and closed his eyes. His thoughts wandered off to Piya and he opened his eyes, "Since you have come into my life everything is going wrong."

Poison Ivy

Abhay had decided to patch up with Alina so he came to meet her but he was feeling quite uneasy. He was a still a new vampire compared to others so occasionally he had trouble controlling his thirst. He should not have come out between humans because tonight was one of the difficult nights. Piya was also present with her friends. He avoided looking at her and tried to stay far from her scent because he had an urge to bite her. Alina, who was feeling uncomfortable for another reason came over to him at the bar.

"Abhay, do you feel the presence of another supernatural here, other than us?" she asked.

"No I don't," he replied. "What happened?"

"Nothing," she said. Of course he would not, she thought. He was not as powerful as her because she practised the dark arts. She walked off staying alert.

Sid came over to the bar for a drink where he noticed Abhay and introduced himself to him.

"I'm Siddharth Mehra, owner of Mehra Industries," he said extending his hand.

Abhay took it and said, "Abhay Raichand."

"You won't know much about me but I know you very well," Sid said putting emphasis on the last two words. "After all who doesn't know the Raichands?"

Abhay looked into his eyes, "The less you know about me, the better it is for you."

Sid raised his eyebrows and smirked.

Later on, Piya saw Abhay sitting alone. She noticed that he was not paying her any attention. For some reason, it irritated her and she decided to go and bully him.

"What are you doing here?" she asked meanly. "This place is not for losers like you."

He ignored her and she got more annoyed, "I'm talking to you."

He still did not look at her so she blurted whatever came into her mind, "You're such a rude, arrogant and ignorant person. I'm sure no one loves you and no one will ever love you because you don't deserve love."

She had hit his raw nerve. He looked at her and that one look was enough to weaken her. He got up and grasped her arms tightly in anger giving her pain.

"Don't test my patience Piyali," he said through gritted teeth, "Whoever messes with me, meets a very bad end."

Piya got scared thinking about what extent he could go to and started to regret her stupid bimbo behaviour. He let go of her with a jerk and tried to walk away but Kabir blocked his way.

"Abhay, how dare you touch Piya?" Kabir asked angrily.

"You stay out of it," Abhay said firmly.

"Look, I will not tolerate it if anyone misbehaves with Piya-"

"Get out of my way."

"What will you do if I don't?" Kabir charged at him but before he could touch him, Abhay swiftly shoved him aside with power.

Kabir fell to the ground and everyone started to look at them. Sid, Misha and Piya rushed to him and he quickly stood up.

Abhay was leaving but he stopped and turned back to look at Piya, "Tell your boyfriend not to interfere in my matter again or else-"

He smirked evilly knowing she must have understood his warning and left. Misha thought Abhay had said that to her but Piya realised he had addressed her. He thought Kabir was her boyfriend.

"What is wrong with him?" Misha asked crossly.

"It's my fault Misha. I went to him and started it," Piya told her feeling sad and guilty.

"Why Piya?" Misha asked irritably. "You know what he is like."

Piya fell silent. How could she tell her that it affected her when Abhay ignored her? She had wanted his attention but could not understand why. Kabir was thinking about the way Abhay pushed him, it felt inhuman.

"I'm leaving girls," he said. "Are you coming?"

"Actually Kabir, Sid is new here and mom said to give him company," Piya told him.

So Kabir ended up leaving alone.

...

Misha and Piya were going back home when Misha suddenly stopped the car.

"What happened?" Piya asked.

"Look Kabir's car," Misha pointed to a car near the jungle.

Piya looked at it, "What is Kabir doing here?"

"Let's see," Misha said.

They went out and hurried over to the car. To their surprise there was no sign of Kabir in it. They started looking around worried.

"Where is Kabir?" Misha cried.

"Phone him," Piya suggested.

Misha tried but it turned out useless, "It's not reachable."

Piya felt some movement and quickly looked into the jungle where she saw Abhay. In a blink, he was gone.

"Misha, I saw Abhay," Piya said.

"Where?" Misha asked.

"In the jungle but he disappeared."

Misha thought she was imagining things again, "Piya, it's Kabir we need to look for, forget Abhay."

Piya went closer to a jungle and noticed something on the floor. She picked it up and it turned out to be Kabir's wallet.

"Misha look!" she shouted and then they noticed footprints going into the jungle.

Misha started to get more worried, "I think he's in the jungle."

"What?" Piya asked in shock. "Let's go and see."

"No Piya, you won't feel well. I'll check, you go and sit in the car."

"Misha, I'm coming with you, that's it."

They cautiously entered the jungle and followed the footprints thinking them to be Kabir's. As they went deeper into the jungle, Piya was looking around in fear when she heard Misha's scream.
