Abhay turned at the soft touch & familiar voice calling him and was surprised to see Alina standing behind him.

Abhay (surprised that he did not smelled her, Damn Pia messing with my supersonic senses) - What are you doing here?

Alina (happily and smiling )- I came to visit a friend? I did not expect to run into you.

Abhay (smiling broadly)-Me neither. But I guess London air has got some magic now a days. People keep running into people they don't expect to see.

Alina (baffled by his statement)- Meaning?? You know your words are as mysterious as you Abhay.

Abhay(giving her his signature smirk) - That's me.

Alina was completely thrown by Abhay's 360 degree change in attitude and behavior. Somehow it doesn't feel like the same Abhay who is now famous back in Dehradun for his bad temper and ever sour mood, nor the one whose absence has apparently been celebrated by the employees of his company with a "secret" party. What struck Alina most was his eyes. The dead hollow look which she saw the last time she peered into those icy blue orbs, has now been replaced by Joy, passion and intensity of a kind she can't put name to. Ever so alert yet so full of life and soulfull. Whatever the reason she was elated to see Abhay like this.

Abhay clicking his fingers in front of her- Are you there?? Where is your friend or are you alone now?

Alina- She is at her work. I came for some shopping. Which reminds me why are you in a ladies shop?

Before she could get the answer a faintly familiar smell of sunshine and honey strawberry hit her, and she instantly turned around and felt the world around her crashing down.

Pia? Pia? The one person whom she tried to defeat, the one who forced her to do the most heinous crimes, the one she has lost her first and forever love to was standing just few steps away from her clad in a beautiful red saree, draped to her petite figure like a second skin. She was looking back at Alina with surprise. Abhay on the other hand was gazing unblinkingly at Pia looking simply breathtaking.

Pia- Hey. Alina. Hi long time.

Alina (her voice betraying her)- Hi!! Nice surprise.

Pia (hesitatingly)- yeah how are you?

Abhay sensing Pia's discomfirture goes to her held her close to him by her waist, making a bile of jealousy and hatred rising inside Alina.

Abhay keeping his lips on her hair- Pia relax she knows. I told her the truth just like you wanted just a bit late.

Pia looked at Abhay and saw the sudden remorse in his eyes. She smiled at him and sighed a breathe of relief. She looked back at Alina and whose eyes were boring where Abhay was holding her.

Pia- Alina I am really sorry for all that. Abhay tried to stop her but Pia silenced him and went to Alina.

Pia- Alina it was as much my fault as Abhay's I know, I should have atleast tried to stop you somehow but...I hope I am forgiven Alina.

Alina- Yeah of course Pia. What are friends for after all?

Pia smiled and hugged Alina, while Alina fought hard the animal inside her which was roaring at her to rip Pia apart for snatching her everything from her.

Abhay- Ok enough of Dostana. Please don't start your over girly-high-on-emotional-drama. Its enough to give headaches to a (lowering his voice) coolest of vampires. We should proceed.

Pia laughed at this while Alina managed to crack a smile. P

Pia changed into her clothes while Abhay payed for the saree and Alina just being a silent spectator to all this.

All three made their way back to the cafeteria, and just as they entered a powerful and unknown Aura hit Alina, like a gust of angry wind, followed by an excited squeal.

She looked down beside to find a little boy of 4-5 years hugging Pia by her knees and jabbering away about the toys he had bought. Still baffled she looked around everywhere roving with her eyes for the energy source that has now engulfed her surrounding, when her eyes stopped on two people sitting at the far end of the cafeteria. A man and a woman. A vampire and a witch. She was sure of it. Being a she-wolf she can pick out vampires easily but her eyes was glued to the woman beside him. She was clearly a witch her aura tells her that much. But it was her features that stymid Alina. Who is she? They both were staring with a beautiful smile towards Pia's direction. She again looked at both of them, and one could almost hear the click in her brains. A witch and a vampire? She again looked at the child beside her. And Alina can now fully feel the powerful and pure untainted aura that hit her rising from the little boy in front of her.

Is this the hybrid Erwin was talking about? Am I this close? thought Alina. The realization had not even sunk in when Abhay came forward and scooped up the child in his arms and started walking towards Alina. If meeting Pia and knowing that she and Abhay are together now was an unbearable pain for Alina than one look at the child in Abhay's lap was an even cruel blow of death to her.

Abhay- Alina meet my son Ayush. Ayush this is mine and your mom's friend, Alina.

Even without his telling her she could say who the child is. He has uncanny resemblance with Pia and Abhay. Her curly hairs, creamy milk like complexion & nose. His jawline, cheekbone & his eyes. The icy blue eyes of Abhay's. Like another small Abhay with slight modifications here & there. Like the perfect blend of Abhay and Pia.

No this can't be. Thought Alina. She wanted to run away, she wanted to cry, she wanted to scream at Abhay. She wanted to wake up from the nightmare. Pia's child? Abhay's child? Their son? The proof, living proof of her Alina's defeat, her loss, her unrequited love.

Abhay (sensing her shock chuckled, which brought her back to senses )- I was even more shocked than you. But yeah he is my son. Ours. Looking at Pia and smiling at her.

Pia- Ayush, where are your manners? Shake hands with Alina.

Ayush who was now unusually quiet and grim stared at Alina who stared at him back. Not wanting to tick of Abhay & Pia, Alina moved her hands forward to shake with him but he did not take it. He simply turned around in Abhay's lap and hid his face o his shoulder baldes and said in his now muffled voice, "I want to go home."

Pia found it most surprising in her otherwise, friendly and cheerful son. She was about to persuade Ayush when Isis came to his rescue.

Isis (in a low voice)- Pia he has never been near a she wolf. So it might have been hard for him. Nothing personal Hi I am Isis Ayush's Godmother, (nodding towards Alina, who nodded back in understand). I am taking him outside so you guys catch up, she said to Pia and took Ayush from Abhay and went outside giving a last look to Alina.

Pia- Alina I am so sorry for that. He is not usually like this.

"Yeah usually he would drive you mad, and make you wish for his bedtime to come soon" chirped in Tristan, who has now come to them with his ever so easy and laid back attitude and a smile playing on his lips.

Abhay- Alina this is Tristan, Tristan Alina.

Tristan- Hi,

Alina - Hi, nice to meet you.

Tristan- The pleasure is all mine. In all these years I have never met a she, you know what? And I must say I never thought one to be as beautiful like you.

Alina- Thanks.

Abhay rolled his eyes. He had seen enough of Tristan's flirtatious ways with woman of every species while keeping an eye on him.

Abhay- Tris she is my friend, atleast leave her.

Tristan-Abhay, please don't be such a Pia. Can't I be a gentleman for once & pay someone the much deserved appreciation. I mean I still prefer potions to wolfy claws, but you gotta admit they are exciting.

Alina forced a hollow laugh- You seem quite a flirt. Won't your witchy girlfriend mind you being cozying upto a you know what?

Tristan- Nope, she just had to wave her wand & I'll be her love sick puppy again.

Pia giggled at this while Abhay shook his head. Alina took leave of them by citing important work, having successfully keeping the storm inside her to herself.

Tristan watching a departing Alina & grinning slyly- Abhay, you know what? If ever there is a Nobel Peace Prize introduced for Supernaturals. You would forever win the award for "keeping harmony between different species" hands down. No competition.

Abhay- can we move we have a lot to do for tomorrow.

Alina ran to the parking lot. Before sitting inside the car she had one last glimpse of Ayush taking a stroll at the parking lot with Isis licking a huge ice cream. As if sensing her gaze he looked at her. She sat in the car and drove away.

Isis looking at Ayush- Anything wrong sweetheart?

Ayush simply said- She smells bad. Stinky.

On the highway,

Parking her car on the side of the road, Alina was out of the car and being violently sick at the road side. She puked, breathed deeply and puked again. Her face hot and flushed deep red, eyes swollen, and whole body trembling. She calmed herself down, but the memory of Pia with Abhay and the idea her carrying his child in her womb, and bringing it in the world, the very idea of Abhay being so deeply rooted to Pia made her sick again. She retched and threw up more. She looked towards the horizon. It was still dark with heavy clouds threatening to break down any moment and thunder approaching. Still shivering with rage and disgust, she took out her cell and dialed a number.
