UPDATE-1

Piya came out of the bathroom and saw Arnab lying in a pool of blood. Horror of mask covered her face; she rushed to his side and with panic-stricken voice screamed;

"Papa! Papa what happened to you? Papa say something? Papa!"

But Arnab had already slipped into unconsciousness. Piya grabbed her phone and as she was about to dial a number a cold hand gripped her wrist. She looked up, Abhay was right there beside her. With tearful eyes and a chocked voice, Piya said;

"Abhay...what happened to Papa? Who did this to him? Please do something Abhay? Please…."

Abhay wiped the tears of her face and said;

"Don't worry love, he will be alright. We have to take him to the hospital right now. Let's go!"

And saying this Abhay and Piya stormed out of the room carrying Arnab.

Arnab Dobriyal was lying unconscious but stable on the hospital bed. Piya by his side and Abhay holding Piya in his arms. After sobbing for a while, Piya looked at Abhay and asked;

"Abhay…do you know who did this?"

Abhay with a stern voice said;

"Maithali…"

Piya's face changed into a sight of fear. She knew Maithali would be back to destroy her, but she never thought, Mathali's first victim will be her own family remember. Piya was at loss of words. As Abhay understood her fear and panic, he pulled her back into his arms and whispered;

"We will survive this Piya. We will fight this together. I am here and I won't let Maithali harm you or your family, I promise." Saying this Abhay kissed Piya's forehead.

Abhay sensed someone's presence; he stood up and said to Piya;

"Be right here, I will be back in sometime." And he went out of the room.

The night looked the darkest even with the glowing moon above, as Abhay came out of the hospital. The pin-drop silence of the night was whispering someone's return. And the wind brought back someone's fragrance with itself. As Abhay walked down the parking lot alone, a shadowy figure crossed in front of him. He froze on his tracks. Closing his eyes, as he whispered her;

"Maithali…"

And she stepped out from the shadow of the dark into the shimmering light of the moon. A glint of mischievousness in her big dark eyes and a playful smile on her lips. Her beauty was like melting gold. She stepped forward taking a deep breath. Looking straight into Abhay's eyes she spoke softly;

"Even now my heart skips a beat when you whisper my name. No one can make my name sound so beautiful like you do."

Abhay was both shocked and furious. He was indeed awe-struck by her beauty, for a moment Abhay felt as if, it's his human Maithali standing in front of him.

She laid there in his arms all day, tossing and turning like a baby, as his fingers lingered all over her self ,making her shiver every now and then under his warm touch…Abhayendra drinking her beauty inch by inch through his eyes and caressing her in every way. Maithali looked up and saw him gazing at her face. With a playful quickness she raised her head and kissed Abhayendra bringing him back to his senses. Abhayendra was taking aback by her quick act, he said;

"Maithali…you are one hell of a girl. You never fail to surprise me"

Maithali giggled in shyness and as she touched Abhayendra's lips, she whispered;

"You know…the way you take my name, it sounds so divine and beautiful. If it was in my hands then, I would have always wanted you to keep on taking my name…"

Coming back to reality, Abhay looked at her again and said in anger;

"Why did you hurt Arnab Dobriyal? What he has done to you? He is only a human, Mathali. Then why did you do this to him?"

Maithali came closer to Abhay and sighed. With a playful expression she said;

"Well…he did nothing to me. It was just a small way to let you and your pet Piya know that I am back. As I had promised." and winked at Abhay.

Abhay was furious. He grabbed Maithali by her arm and said;

"If you dare to touch Piya, I swear I will kill you myself, and this time I won't think twice."

Maithali grinned at Abhay. Closing the distance between her and Abhay, she whispered;

"So much hatred for your Maithali? Abhayendra. You know I am back just for you. No one matters to me except you. All this time, I have wandered alone like a lost soul, but not anymore. Am here to make you mine forever. "

As she caressed Abhay's face, she said;

"I know, somewhere you still love me. Tell me, you don't feel anything when I touch you? Tell me, you don't feel warmth when I whisper your name? Tell me, your heart doesn't miss a beat when I kiss you?"

And before, Abhay could understand Maithali's words, her lips were on his. Crushing his lips, Mathali made escape impossible for Abhay. Her hands gripping tight around the back on Abhay's neck, her nails were digging into his flesh. Her lips soft but angry forced open Abhay's and he could feel her cold yet warm breath in his mouth. As Maithali mold her lips to Abhay's in an unfamiliar way, Abhay gripped Maithali by her shoulder and with all his supernatural strength, pushed her away, throwing her back with anger and rage.

Raging in anger, Abhay shouted at her;

"Stop it Maithali! Just stop it! I.DON'T.LOVE.YOU! So just stop throwing yourself on me! I have never loved this evil self of yours; it was only my human soul Maithali whom I used to love 200years ago. She was pure and divine, not an evil bitch like you! And how can you still claim to love me, even after betraying me in every possible way? 200yrs I had cursed myself for losing you, when you were lying in my brother's arms. My love for you died that very day. You froze me, so that Piya and I can never be together. Maithali, if you really did love me, then you would have never come between Piya and me. And get one thing crystal-clear in your head; I only love Piya and no one else. Do whatever you can, but you will never be able to separate Piya and me, ever."

And as Abhay walked back inside the hospital, he turned around and facing Maithali once again, he said;

"You asked me, whether I still feel anything or not when you come closer; yes Maithali, I do feel. But it's nothing like love, its only disgust." And he walked inside.

Waves of rejection slashed Maithali like a mad hound. She stood there all alone like a shattered soul. Her eyes shedding tears of pain, anger and agony, and Abhay's words ringing in her ears, she was tormented. Taking a hold on herself, she wiped the tears off her face and with a choked voice she said;

"If you don't love me Abhayendra, then you will start loving me all over again. No one can take you away from me now. If I have to slaughter each and everyone of this town to make you love me again, then I will do it. You will come back to me Abhayendra, by hook or by crook."

Vowing this, Maithali faded away in the darkness of the night, leaving her presence lingering in the winds which screamed out her agony and silenced the storm which was about to devastate the whole town along Abhay and Piya's love-paradise.
