I think I know why Abhay did not change his usual costume for the Dandiya fest. We all know that Alina finds a patient listener only in Piya as now Misha also won't be so interested because Alina chose Abhay. So once she meets Piya in the Dandiya fest, she would innocently/ happily tell her all that happened
How Abhay came to her house
Gave her a gift and in exchange asked for a date with her in the Dandiya night Jeh was very satisfied that Abhay is taking good care of his sister
How she requested Jeh to come for shopping with her
and how Abhay offered to take her when Jeh refused
When she was confused on what dress to select, Abhay said she
would look perfect in any of them
and blah blah blah blah
After all this if Abhay happened to wear a different costume for the Dandiya night and if that happens to be gifted or selected by Alina, just imagine poor Abhay's state.
Metz only froze him. But after this Piya will deep fry him š
So Abhay's defence for not changing his costume rests.
