elina to get 'close' to abhay-?? interview

The outgoing brothers Jeh and Neel have a sister who is completely their opposite. We are talking about the submissive and timid Alina Khurana, in STAR One's leading prime-time show Pyaar Kii Yeh Ek Kahaani. We got the introvert Alina aka Priya Chouhan to talk about her mysterious character, her relationship with her brothers, Abhay, and more.

You made a sudden entry in the show. Where were you before coming to Dehradun?

My past is a mystery, which led to this sudden entry in Dehradun. Let it be a mystery for now. It will unravel with time.

While your family is confident and outgoing, why are you so timid?

My whole family is the completely opposite of me. The reason for my timidity will soon be revealed via a flash-back story. Believe me, something dark and dangerous happened that made me the way I am today. Watch out for the future episodes.

What do you think is unique about your character?

The unique part about Alina is that she is completely different from other characters on television. In Pyaar Kii Yeh Ek Kahaani, I play a dual character - a meek girl, who doesn't have the confidence to talk to anyone, and also a mysterious one. The mysterious side of my character is very interesting and challenging, and will soon be revealed on the show. It will explain my weird behaviour.

What is the reason for your mom's hatred of you?

It is too early to comment and give reasons of my mom's hatred. There is a strong explanation behind it. Our differences will be revealed in my back story. I am pleading with her to forgive me, but she is not ready to forgive me yet.

What kind of a relationship do you share with your brothers – Neel and Jeh?

My family is a small one, with Neel and Jeh and me and mom. My brothers are cool with me, and don't ill-treat me. They love me, and treat me at par in the family. I was touched when Jeh and Neel got worried about me, when I was locked in a room. I feel they are aware of my mistakes, too, yet they care for me. I am happy to have such loving and caring brothers.

Have you met Piya after your accident with her?

Yes, after the accident, Jeh brought her to our house. After meeting her, I found Piya to be a very sweet girl, who forgave me for my mistake. That was cool of her.

What do you think of Piya-Jeh as a couple?

I feel my brother Jeh loves Piya a lot, and they look like they are made for each other. I hope Piya and Jeh remain together and in love forever.

How will you take care of your injured mother?

It is very sad that my mother got badly injured. I know that Abhay is the one who hurt her. I am definitely going to take care of my mother, as I love her a lot.

What do you think of Abhay?

From day one, I have felt a strong connection between Abhay and me. I don't know what it is and why I feel it, but it pulls me towards him. Whenever I am near Abhay, I feel very uncomfortable, and I don't understand why. At the same time, I am grateful to him, as he got me out of the locked room. As he rescued me, I feel an affinity towards him. I now want to be a friend to him. I want to get close to him.

What do you like about the show- Pyaar Kii Yeh Ek Kahaani?

I feel that the whole presentation of Pyaar Kii Yeh Ek Kahaani has been crafted very well. Every day a new track, a new story is developed, which keeps the audiences on tenterhooks.

Which character do you find most interesting in the show, and why?

I feel that every character in Pyaar Kii Yeh Ek Kahaani is interesting, but for me, Abhay and Jeh have the maximum appeal, as these two characters are poles apart. Abhay is in love with Piya, but he stays away from her and keeps her safe, while Jeh is a complete surprise package. No one expected him to be a werewolf.
