It is festival time again. As we gear up to celebrate Raksha Bandhan this Saturday, the sibling jodis on STAR One, Jeh-Neel-Alina from Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani and Alka-Abhishek from Dhoond Legi Manzil Humein, are looking forward to the festival. We spoke to them about Raksha Bandhan, its importance in their lives, and their relationship with each other.
Jeh aka Ritwik Dhanjani
Raksha Bandhan is a very auspicious day for everyone. This festival strengthens the relationship between brothers and sisters, and also brings families together. I really like Raksha Bandhan a lot, but at the same time, I feel there should not be only one day to celebrate the bond between brothers and sisters. My relationship with my sister Alina is very good, but I don't understand her strange behaviour. I was angry with mom when she locked Alina in her room, but as it is my mom's decision, I can't help Alina. However, I will try to help my sister in some form or the other.
Neel aka Suyash Kumar
Raksha Bandhan is about celebrating the bond between brothers and sisters. I feel that one must spend time with one's siblings every day, and not just on Raksha Bandhan. Every sister who ties a rakhi to her brother expects a vow to support her in all times. The same is the case with me and Alina. I care for my sister Alina, who recently joined us. I am worried and tensed about her strange behaviour, and I will be with her whenever she needs my help.
Alina aka Priya Chouhan
I really look forward to Raksha Bandhan. I enjoy this festival, as it denotes a sweet gesture between brothers and sisters and shows how much they love and care for each other. This festival is to display our love for and to show us the importance of our siblings. I have two brothers – Jeh and Neel - and both are very caring and loving towards me. I was happy to know that they showed their displeasure when mom locked me in the room.
