Yes Abhay's character is deteriorating.He used to be (or still is) my favourite character from the show and its sad that creatives are slowly destroying the character.Abhay,Piya and AbhiYa have become non entities in this show.

Abhay has one of those 3 standard dialogues in every scene 🤢 Piya is acting way to foolish now 😕 n poor Misha, her life revolves b/w gay n geek

They already ruined Piya's character so i wouldn't say Sid's character has made the show completely interesting. He's the Ansh Gijral/Eklavya(Kyunki Saas bhi Kabhi Bahu thi) of the show but his turn will come to fall on the sword. Creatives have a way of making all the great characters into 5 year old children:::
