Guys relax. I think the author of this post merely tried to say that if you are bringing something new to television then bring it with perfection or at least try to do so.
What she has said is not wrong. There are many errors in the show- from the timeline to the coloured photgraphs to the language etc etc. Just because we are used to it doesn't mean we like them. Liking the show is a different thing but that doesn't make their mistakes alright.
Infact this is why they never bother changing, because we as viewers don't complain simply because we have learnt to live with it.
T.V serials are made all around the globe but when it comes to mistakes why does it have to be us? I am sure we can improve, after all we don't lack the technology or the creativity. And the best part? It's not even their own idea! I mean how wrong CAN you go when you're ripping off material from two other shows. I'm sure what many people would say to this that they have made their own vampires and given them a separate look. Fine but timelines? coloured photographs in the 18th century? INTACT photographs from the 18th century? A palace which is under the care of a watchman and not the govt? Plus has all the belongings, furniture, artifacts, readily available to be stolen. And a book whose cover is in English but the content is in a ancient language?
I am sure the directors can do better than this. The audience is not a fool and we aren't even asking you to go out of your way. Just get your mathematical skills in place and you'll be good to go.
And we like this show, we are just asking them to make it better so that we can love it all the more.
No offense to anyone. It's just my point of view. I like this show and watch it every day but that doesn't mean i turn a blind eye to what is wrong.
