i know for sure that whoever starts as a moderate might end as alcoholic in some point of their lives and those who drink and /or smoke might have major health problems too

people are getting killed because of Alcohol and smoking, everywhere everyday and this is a fact no one can denies!

i dont understand why people indulge in such meaningless habits that only cause them harm!

i have watched few of my relatives lose their loved ones because of these two worthless habits, and its really sad because when someone dies they don't die alone they affect thier whole family!

about Vivian i hope he stops and realizes this before its too late! i hope he is reading this topic

Seriously yaar!! My really good friend drinks and smokes a lot too, and has been doing so since he was just a small kid, and I have seen firsthand the impact on his health.

It took him so many years and threats and blackmailing by me and his gf to stop smoking, and I am still not sure if he has stopped or not coz he lives elsewhere.

Every few days he gets so drunk that he is sick for weeks. Then he says it was 'just a li'l social drinking'.

And I know it started out as a 'sip of wine' once.

By smoking and drinking, a person does not harm just himself, but others too. Passive smoking kills more people than actual smoking. It causes asthma, triggers asthma and/or allergy attacks that lead to asphyxiation and even death. Plus the pollution.

And drinking....we all know how intoxicated people are a threat to society.

If we can make so many topics about Vahbbiz needing to go to the gym to lose weight because 'she looks pregnant', we definitely have the right to condemn Vivian for indulging in activities that are harmful to him and the society. In fact, it is our duty to try and ensure that our 'favourite guy' does not do something that affects his health so badly.

vivian not only drink but also smoke...n dat also on sets..n dats yy i use to be huge fan of him...but not any more after seein his picx in wich he was havin cigrette in hiz hand...n one in wich he iz drinkin...

thanks for sharing your experience, its hard to see someone you love indulge in something harmful! and there is nothing you can do about it! as no matter how much you advice they wont stop! i have few uncles who smoke but thank God my dad doesn't smoke nor he drinks!

i will never ever get married to someone who smokes or drinks🤢 its a major turn off🤢 they will smell like yuck all the time!!😆 moreover they endanger the lives of their spouses and their kids too

you are right passive smoking kills too thats why its forbidden nowadays to smoke in public places in most of the countries , thank God!

its such waste when you see good people wasting their lives and endangering their health in such bad and stupid habits be it smoking, alcohol or worst drugs!

what i can't understand how smart people end up doing this? i mean if someone is dumb i can understand but when a well educated or smart person does, that boggle me and it really makes me wonder whether they are bright or just book smart!!!!

@bold...same here!! I can tell you exactly how disgusting such people smell coz everyday my driver used to smoke, until the day he got a cancer scare. leave him......even a brilliant journalist who I had always respected for his work turned out to be a chain smoker - black teeth, sunken eyes....and when he sat next to me during our office meetings, I used to be almost retching coz of the way he smelled of smoke and mint. the memory still brings a bitter taste to my mouth.

@blue....yeah...but still people smoke in public places, a point I raised with the IG of my city today. it is seriously so unhealthy! I see people smoking in the city plaza despite the ban, and there are old people, asthmatics, pregnant ladies, kids and babies around there........I just wonder about the future of those li'l ones! to be born with a greater cancer risk or blood diseases or even chronic bronchitis like I have...just because some people do not have any civic or common sense!!!

@green...educated ones are the worst somehow! maybe because they earn more and can buy more and think that they can get treatment more easily? or maybe because they can quote surveys that say 'drinking in moderation' is good for health.....and of course, they 'drink in moderation' only na...just li'l sips. *rolls eyes*

its hard to deal with someone who smokes in daily bases let alone if he is someone you live with!

do you believe that some people smoke inside their houses too, in front of their own kids and wives, its like they don't give a damn about the health hazards that they are making their families face because of passive smoking! and its simply because these men are so into themselves that they don't see beyond their own selfish needs

but hey where i come from and in my home town they cant smoke and if you see someone smoking in a public place you can complain to authorities and they will stop him

you know i have read an article some times about a study conducted in one of American universities in New York Times magazine that stated that people (both genders) who smoke might affect their genes too

like a man or a woman who smokes ( even before getting pregnant) their genes are affected so their babies might have greater health risks like Asthma ,chronic bronchitis, also they are more prone to flu and cold attacks, and over all poor health

the study also indicated that people who smoke eventually their IQ levels will decrease

@blue.....er....nooo!! I meant that he used to smoke outside the car. like it's parked in the driveway, toh he'll go to the park to smoke. but it would still stink when he came in. or he would smoke in the garage which is right next to my room.

no amount of threats or explanations would have any effect on him until the day he was really ill and thought he has cancer and was rushed to the ER! now he is controlling his urges. and even dad told him that he won't get any perks or help with his daughters' education until he kicks the habit, so he's better.

I know lots of people like that, and how they let their li'l kids do it too. even worse is when they themselves do it, but forbid their kids from doing it. makes the kids love doing it even more.

@green.........the law and everything is same here, but we get a lot of tourists or teenagers - they just don't listen! that's what I complained about to the IG yesterday.

@red...again, I have seen firsthand the impact of drug abuse, smoking and excessive drinking on people's health. babies born with respiratory diseases, weak immune systems, neurological issues. saw a documentary once in which they showed the impact of substance abuse on pregnant women - every single case resulted in deformed or weak babies, stillbirth, and even ectopic pregnancies and miscarriage! it was really shocking!
