I was just wondering, maybe maithli was a human, but abhor tried to turn her to. a vampire but couldn't so she died, maybe that's why he wants hate.

I think he said something on the lines that he gave up his life for her. Perhaps she deceived him or he in a bid to save her got vampirised (my word) by the ooh-so-scary-lovers Haseena and Chand. What say team?

We all saw in the last episode that Abhay claimed he sacrificed his life to save Maitheli. so definitely he didn't kill her.
